An update:
Firstly, I have to say that it's been a cracking week. You guys
have maintained the testing pace of week 1, and I'm amazed.
Already we're around 20% of the way to where I think we need to
be on scenario testing. (Though that threshold is very much a
minimum. There's no such thing as too much testing. I still
don't reckon we'll be fully done until the end of summer, if not
later.)
Anyway, this weekend I shall be working on the following:
(1) Adding in Vincent's latest ADC feedback. Again, I think this
is primarily textual, and is not quite as much as last week.
When I've done that I'll ask Karl to help read the back-of-card
blurb. He's already done some passes on this, but he's got a
good eye for the stories I want to tell on the backs of the
cards.
(2) I'll go through the test feedback and updates the scenarios
with tweaks. I should be posting a new copy of the book on
Sunday.
(3) Hopefully I might even start some aircraft art, at last.

Lee,
I just emailed you an updated comment file dated Feb 01. Please
disregard the one you got earlier this week.

Okay, I have just uploaded a new Origins book to dropbox,
replacing the old 27Jan19 book with a new one dated 02Feb19.
Please grab the latest. This has changes to the following
scenarios:
O01 Shall we Cancel The Party - Added split limits for German
fighters and relaxed the altitude change restrictions on Ju 88s.
O02 Operation Wasserkante - Reduced numbers of bombers; removed
German veterans; move the airfield and added a Polish Experte.
O03 Warsaw Concerto - Dropped high bomber altitude; adjusted the
set up of Heinkel escorts; reduced Bf 110s to a flight; added
Polish Veteran marker; adjusted clouds; adjusted victory levels.
O04 Bomber Brigade - Added additional Polish sweep flight.
O07 Enter the Zero - Minor adjustment to victory levels.
O13 On a Little Street in Singapore - Significant changes to
Japanese set up; removed two Japanese escort squadrons.
O14 Sourabaya Johnny - Changed bombing to fixed hits output and
shifted victory levels.
O20 A Fine Winter’s Day - Added cohesion bonus special rule;
changed how bomber exit VPs are calculated; adjusted victory
levels and added prohibition against rolling for bomber escape
O21 Super-Fly - Dropped Bf 109 starting altitude and restricted
Heavy Flak to barrage fire.
O26 Forgotten Planes - Removed the Republican veteran.

So, there's suddenly lots going on.
(1) I have started a conversation with Rick and Vincent on
proofing all the Victories and Eagles materials in time for the
end of March. The first step in that process will be me updating
the rulebook and player aids this weekend.
(2) This weekend I'll do another pass through the Origins
scenarios and produce an update.
(3) Once I have the new draft of the rulebook, I'll do a public
post about publication on CSW and BGG. I'll also post the
Victories materials publicly to crowdsource feedback.
(4) I still hope to get to do the first Origins aircraft art
this weekend. It's going to be a three-day weekend for me, as
I'm taking Monday off work.
(5) I'm currently figuring out which pieces of art to use for
the three books: the Victories rulebook, the Victories scenario
book and the Eagles book. I'll post separately on this soon.

Note, from here on I shall use this thread to announce Origins
updates and the Victories/Eagles publication thread to announce
updates for proofing materials. I'll try and keep these things
separate for now.
Update: After all the work on the ADCs and rules today, I'm
going to take a break. I haven't looked at any of the last 24
hours of playtest feedback on Origins today. I intend to pick
that up tomorrow.

Okay, I have just uploaded a new Origins book to dropbox,
replacing the old 2Feb19 book with a new one dated 10Feb19.
Please grab the latest. This has changes to the following
scenarios:
O01 Shall we Cancel The Party - Slimmed the Stuka escort;
started the Stukas and Ju 88s further away; force the medium
bombers to use heavy bombing; upgraded the flak; changed victory
levels
O02 Operation Wasserkante - Clarified Polish doctrine
O03 Warsaw Concerto - Switched the set-up of the Polish flights
and squadrons; restored the Bf 110s to squadron strength;
restored the Heinkels to a higher altitude; shifted the victory
levels upwards; clarified Polish doctrine
O04 Bomber Brigade - Doubles VP output for hits on tanks;
reduced VP scored for PZL.37 losses; clarified Polish doctrine
O10 Flying Fish - Minor typo fixes; set up low sweeps up 1
altitude higher
O15 A Black Day For German Tourists - Moved targets and cloud;
removed troops target; divided the escorts between the bombers;
went to fixed hits for bombing
O19 Chirris Over Brunete - Reversed scoring formula and adjusted
victory levels; reduced Republican veterans by 1
O20 A Fine Winter’s Day - Restored escorts to 3 squadrons, made
them sweeps and set them up in positions where it is hard to
tally on the first turn; dropped the complex exit VP rule; added
new rule for the sweeps to reverse course when the bombers
return to base; adjusted victory levels
O25 The Great Raid - Started the Japanese further right; reduced
Soviet Green markers; set the Soviets a takeoff schedule rather
than being triggered by enemy proximity; turned CAP squadron to
intercept; removed cloud; made Soviets immune to small arms
fire; reduced Japanese veterans by 1
O26 Forgotten Planes - Slight adjustment to CR.32 set-up

So, planning for the weekend:
(a) I have some ADC feedback from Karl on the Victories and
Eagles ADCs. I'll work those in with the reorganisation of
'default' card data. Not sure yet whether I'll issue an update.
(b) I've go through the Victories and Eagles materials, adding
the product numbers and copyright boilerplate.
(c) I'll probably release proofs of the Victories and Eagles
countersheets this weekend. I don't intend to release the
rulebook and other materials until I have the draft of the index
back from Rick.
(d) Regarding the rules index, we really need input from you
guys as to whethere there are any keywords that are missing, or
that could be rationalised by splitting an existing keyword into
new ones.
(e) I shall be trawling through the AARs for Origins to tweak
some of the existing scenarios further. I suspect that this
weekend I'll be starting to direct some of you to look at
particular scenarios.

Lee,
Please see the attached file for my feedback on the Victories,
Eagles, and Blitz ADCs, mainly dealing with the reorganisation
of default card data. The Supremacy and Early/Late War ADCs will
be done by the weekend's end. I wanted to get what I currently
had ready to you today as you plan to incorporate Karl's
feedback this weekend, thus avoiding an extra pass over the
cards for you.

Thanks for that! I have worked it into the ADCs and will be
posting them later this weekend, either today (Saturday) or
tomorrow. ADCs are starting to look tight now. We'll just need
to check for any pesky errors that may have crept in.
