I'm working on a Origins extension with placeholder art for the
Origins aircraft. Until then, be sure to check out the Fandom
extension. Quite a few Origins types are included. And I know
it's not ideal but the Generic counters can be used in a pinch.

date=1549226101]Eagles has a Hvy Flak D counter. So does Blitz.
They differ only in VPs; Eagles being 2VP, Blitz being 3VP. To
avoid any confusion for owners of both expansions, should Eagles
Hvy Flak D become Hvy Flak E?[/quote]
Okay, I have now updated the master file so that the Blitz
counter and the Eagles counters should match.

To avoid any mistake, the blitz counter (below) is correct,
correct?

That's the Blitz VASL version of the Hvy Flak D counter.

Those are the correct stats, yes.
When I have the product numbers from GMT I shall be producing
new renders of the Victories and Eagles counters for proofing,
so you'll see the change to the Hvy Flak D counter on the Eagles
sheet then.

I've been working hard on the Origins extension and an update to
the core module. The best playtesters in the world deserve it.
They're not done but I've got to go tend to other things for a
bit though and I didn't want to sit on what I've got. So if
you'd like to use what I've got so far, here you go:
edit: deleted dead link
Unzip it to get draft versions of the extension and the module.
Don't use the module with any games in progress, you won't like
the results.
If you use the module with all the other extensions, you'll have
a plethora of markers in some cases. I'll fix that.
I don't have the counters done yet for the Malta cmpgn.
Elias, Mr. playtester extraordinaire, I'm testing a shortcut to
turn squadrons into flights. It's extra work so I've only got it
in the Origins extension. Let me know what you think.
As always, feedback is appreciated.
Al
BTW, this may be a repeated post. The site didn't like my first
one I guess.

Okay, I'm an idiot. I've been waiting for the Malta map to add
the Malta counters to the Origins extension. Dooh! I'll update
the extension asap.

Well there aren't Malta campaign counters either?
It looks like the "map" could be the Malta playaid? Not sure
though. If you want to use vassal to playtest this, please tell
me what you need. I'm happy to add it to the extension. Thanks.

There is no map for Malta. The Malta play aid is effectively
'it'.
There's one counter for the Malta campaign, which is a campaign
turn marker.

For the best playtesters in the world...
I've cleaned up the VASSAL module and extensions. You can get
them from the Wing Leader Playtest Dropbox Folder. Lee, I hope
it's okay I put them there.
What's new?
I fixed the straggler counters so they now flip to loss
I added placeholders for the countries through Origins. I
haven't changed Russia to Soviet Union yet because that breaks
the module. I can fix that though but it was better to spend my
time in other ways.
Between legacy aircraft and placeholder aircraft, Origins should
have a complete representation.
I changed some of the hot keys for the map windows. ALT + the
first letter of the window should get you what you want. A
couple of exceptions: Dice are ALT +1 or ALT +2; Battle Display
is ALT +A, and Zoom is ALT +Z or X.
I added a Squadron to flight shortcut in Origins (that's for you
Elias). Select a squadron from Origins playtest and click CTRL
ALT +F. If you like it and it works for you guys, I'll add it to
the whole module...eventually.
Pressure washed the engine so everything is sparkly new.
Unless someone finds a nasty bug, I'll leave things alone for a
while. I'll keep working behind the scenes to ready the Eagles
extension for public release.
Hope you enjoy...
Al
