Just seen the printer's proofs for Victories 2e and Eagles.
Looking good so far, though they seem to have rearranged the
counters, as if for new cutting dies.

Just to check in: I’ll get to Operation Sunrise this week.
Out of curiosity did those Hampden’s ever get mistaken for
Do-17s? From some angles the profile is startlingly similar.

I really don't know. That said, misidentification was rife in
       the war.

I know I don't thank you guys enough, but I really am grateful
for all the effort everyone has put into testing the game. When
your nose is buried deep in a project, it's sometime hard to
remember to show gratitude, but here it is. We would not be here
without you. I hope you've been enjoying it as much as I have.

I have been trying to give some thoughts to what might happen
after we deliver Origins to GMT. To be honest, nothing is fixed.
Given that we've been hammering at Wing Leader for more than
five years now, I'm starting to feel a little worn-out. Wing
Leader has been more art-intensive than previous titles and I'm
in need either of a break or possibly to move on to something
else. So after Origins there are a number of options.
Now, this should not be made public, but at a minimum I want to
prepare material for a second edition of Supremacy, to be ready
to roll as soon as Supremacy sells out. (For obvious reasons I
cannot announce anything on this until after Supremacy is safely
out of print.) I see the reprint as being along similar lines to
that of Victories: four extra ADCs and maybe four new scenarios,
as well as the new marker counters and current rulebook.
Possible candidates for new ADCs are:
       Lancaster
       Late-model Halifax
       Ta 152H
       A fourth aircraft
The fourth aircraft could be one of: Do 335, A-36 Mustang or
late-model B-25. Ta 152H/Do 335 scenarios would need to be
counterfactuals. I now have the materials to make daylight
scenarios with Lancs and Halifaxes, and this would be a good
opportunity to introduce counters for RAF Mustang IVs and
       suchlike.
Once we have the second edition of Supremacy done, I could rest
easily if I chose to step away from Wing Leader for a while. I
could even do something else. There are a lot of other projects
that would be fun to work on. Or I could simply take a long
       break.
       Other possible options post-Origins:
       (1) Post-War. Post-war expansion based on counterfactual
Operation Olympic/WW3 in 1948. We've discussed this elsewhere
and it might make a good bookend for the system, along with
Origins. On the one hand, this is a project I'd really love to
do, on the other I'm unsure if people would buy it, and I'm
unsure if I have the stamina for another go-around on the art
       and scenarios after Origins.
       (2) Wartime. Wartime expansion based on remaining unpublished
ADCs. The problem with this is that we are pretty much down to
the dregs when it comes to ADCs. They are the ones it's hard to
build scenarios for, because of a lack of massed actions at the
Wing Leader scale. And most of those 'left behind' ADCs are
light and medium bomber types, rather than fighters.
       (3) Skinny. A 'skinny' expansion focussed only on counters and
scenarios. It might have a few ADCs or no ADCs at all. The aim
would be to take existing ADC content and simply build good
scenarios, using the countersheet to bulk out the countermix. So
that if you wanted, say, a scenario with Bulgarian Dewoitine
D.520s, this would be a good opportunity. On the plus side the
art load is much easier, as the counters are variants of
existing art. So most of the effort is in building and testing
       the scenarios.
I haven't given much thought to any other follow-on materials,
such as scenarios and counters for C3i magazine, but they are
certainly a possibility to keep things 'current', even if I drop
out from building any new expansions.

I suppose another option post-Origins might be a counterfactual
featuring all those drawing-board and prototype aircraft that
never made it. Not the secret weapons of the Luftwaffe stuff,
but aircraft like the Gloster F.9/37, Supermarine 327 and the
Martin-Baker MB.5. Maybe it could include those aircraft that
made it, but were not deployed in numbers, such as the VG.33.

My 2¢ worth: personally I would rather see another
wartime/historical scenario pack (skinny) than a
       counter-factual. Maybe another campaign.
On the other hand would be interested to see what kind of thing
you would do post-Wing Leader. I really love Bomber Command and
would be interested to see something else that kind of plays
       like it. Redo  the Kiev campaign but in a raid-scale game?    ;

Or start working on Bomber Barons...

I'd like to see Burning Blue republished but that may be a GMT
       decision alone.
