Okay, I'll have a look at that on Saturday, along with the
       Budapest feedback.

V 0.4 (but without climbing to avoid FLAK)
       Player: Elias Nordling (solo)
Despite the reduced bomber escorts, the escorts were able to see
off the CAP with ease this time round, with only one bomber loss
and no broken escorts. This was mostly due to poor cohesion
rolls for the Germans. The bombers achieved sufficient damage on
       the Aux.
This cascaded to the attack on the transports, which turned into
a slaughter as there were considerably more P38:s left than the
escorts could handle. All transports were broken for 0 German
       points.
I think the VP system works fine for this scenario and steer the
players into different tactics, but just for stats, the results
       were:
       6 damage on Aux 1.
       Losses: 1 Me210, 3 BF110, 21 Ju52
       US 1 bomber, 4 ftrs.
There were some lucky US rolls, with 8 transports shot down with
two boxcars rolls. Generally the US has to work to break the
       transports.
The biggest problem as I see it is still that the German CAP has
very little hope of affecting the US bombing result. With that,
the best use of the CAP is instead to reduce the escort to give
the US fewer fighters to attack the transports with. While
interesting in itself, it makes the whole bombing part kind of
       irrelevant.
I'm thinking what the Germans need is a) one more turn to attack
the bombers, and b) a little more ability to cause cohesion hits
on both fighters and bombers. I think an additional experte
       might help with the latter.

The Experte is straightforward to add. I can't help thinking
that the solution is to increase the German GCI value, maybe to
5 or even a 4. What do you think?

I didn't really use vectors. Given the large formation mod and
veterans, the Germans are more likely than not to tally on turn
1, and by turn 2 for sure, so the vectors will never really kick
in. But there are few turns before the bombers bomb, and the
escorts have good chances of locking up the German CAP in
       dogfights.

Then the only thing I can think of is to push the bombers left
one square and the targets (& CAP) right by one square. Any
       thoughts?

Okay, I've done that. Pushed the CAP and surface targets one
column right and the bombers one left. Not sure what difference
it will make, other than to make first-turn tally more marginal.
We could, in our bag of tricks, simply turn the CAPs into
Intercept missions if this does not work.

       V0.5
       Player: Elias Nordling (splo)
My problem in the scenario remains the same. The Germans have
trouble affecting the bombing, and the Allies have trouble
       affecting the transports.
This time round, the bombers missed. No thanks to the German
fighters, that scored one hit and no disruptions, the bombers
just rolled poorly. There were plenty of German fighters left to
parry the P38:s attacking the bombers, and few attacks were made
against unescorted transports. In the end, one transport was
broken. A German win with 4 points.
       Losses were 1 B25, 11 P38, and for the Germans 4 fighters and 7
       transports.
Suggestions: Not sure, maybe the US just had bad luck this time?
There were a lot of high cohesion rolls and low loss rolls in
       the attacks on the transports.

I'll take another look at the weekend. I'm starting to think we
need to change the CAP to intercept and start it closer to the
       bombers.

So, I'm looking at changing the CAP to intercept and moving it
three to four columns closer to the bombers, in the hope that
this gives us sufficient time to make a dent on the bombers,
       should the interceptors get through.
I'm also looking at a potential second significant change, that
instead of assigning tactical flexibility to the Americans,
assigning it to Veterans, which will open up some options for
       the interceptors.
