Okay, time to totalise the recent plays since Elias's changes:
Republican bombing = 3 + 1 + 1 + 6 = mean 2.75 VPs
Nationalist losses = 21 + 13 + 9 + 13 = mean 14.0 VPs
Nationalist bombing = 20 + 20 + 25 + 25 = mean 22.5 VPs
Republican losses = 6 + 13 + 14 + 11 = mean 11.0 VPs
This gives us a mean output of +16.75. Clearly the draw window
is pitched to high at present. I shall move it down to +15 to
+19. This would give us the following results:
Jean 1: +2 = Republican victory
Forrest 1: +19 = Draw
Jean 2: +29 = Nationalist victory
Forrest 2: +17 = Draw
Clearly we need a bunch more plays on this.

bunker, 7 hits for 5 VP
supply, 6 hits for 20 VP, halved to 10 VP

LOSSES- 1 x SB

VICTORY- 24-6=18 for a draw. Republicans able to shoot down both
Do-17's recce flight to cost the Nationalist 5 VP in addition to
the 4 VP for losses. Poor to average bombing rolls this time.
Bf109B escort was tied up by the vet I-16 and couldn't react to
the Chupete squadron attacking the Do17's. One thing the
Nationalist could do is to give Bf109 high sweepers a RTB on
turn 1 enabling them to be 5 columns further to the right when
the Chupete makes its appearance. Scenario works but it will be
swingy due to the bombing and whether or not the recce succeeds.

Scenario: D04_First in the line of fire - Test 03
Version: v0.4
Playtester: Jean Foisy [Solo]
Plans:
- Republicans: After the SB squadron had dropped it's bombs, the
Escorts join the Sweepers to reach the enemy bombers.
- Nationalists: Clear the skies of the enemy fighters to let the
bombers and strafers do their things.
- The escorts should be more aggressive.
Report:
- Game lasted 9 turns
- Nationalists Veterans goes to lead CR.32 and high Bf109
squadron. Expertes goes to 2 escorting Cr.32 and the Bf 109
Squadrons.
- Republicans Veterans and Expertes were given as per the
Special Rules. The second Veteran is assigned to the I-16
entering on Turn 3
- The SM.79's escorts managed to keep at bay the Republican
fighters.
- The SB bombing was poor. It got only 2 Hits.
Victory:
REPUBLICAN VPs:
Nationalist A/C shot down: 7xCR.32, 3x109, 1xRo.37 = 11 VPs
Republican Bombing:
- 2H (Minor Damage) to Troops = 1 VP
REPUBLICAN TOTAL = 12 VPs
NATIONALIST VPs:
Republican A/C shot down : 1xI-15, 4xI-16 Typ5, 1xI-16 Typ10,
1xI-16 Chupete, 3xSB = 13 VPs
Nationalist bombing Results:
- 13H (Hvy Damage) to Bunker = 5 VPs
- 2H (Minor Damage) Supply dump = 5/2 => 2.5 VPs
- Recce success to the Bunker target = 5 VPs
NATIONALIST TOTAL = 25.5 VPs
SCENARIO TOTAL: 13.5 VPs; Republican Victory [Perceived Victory
Level: Republican].
Recommendations: Seems quite balanced; if one more SB had been
downed the result would have been a draw.
Typo; Special Rule 9. Turn 2 should be replaced by Turn 3.
@ Lee: I will be Out of Town from Sunday the 16th to Sunday the
23rd.

Current totals:
Republican bombing = 3 + 1 + 1 + 6 + 0 + 1 = mean 2.0 VPs
Nationalist losses = 21 + 13 + 9 + 13 + 6 + 11 = mean 10.4 VPs
Nationalist bombing = 20 + 20 + 25 + 25 + 15 + 13 = mean 16.8
VPs
Republican losses = 6 + 13 + 14 + 11 + 9 + 13 = mean 9.4 VPs
The mean results have shifted a lot. The mean VP output now
drops to +13.8. On the whole this suggests narrowing the draw
window to +15 to +18, which would give us the following results:
Jean 1: +2 = Republican victory
Forrest 1: +19 = Nationalist victory
Jean 2: +29 = Nationalist victory
Forrest 2: +18 = Draw
Forrest 3: +17 = Draw
Jean 3: +14 = Republican victory
