Scenario playtest report template
By: pilotofficerprune Date: September 12, 2018, 3:45 am
---------------------------------------------------------
I'd prefer if people used this simple template for scenario
playtest after action reports. I'd like one filled in for each
test play. Because form-filling is painful I have deliberately
tried to keep the format as simple as possible.
[hr]
Scenario: XX01 Storm of Stuff
Version: v0.0
Playtesters: Eddie Hitler (German)/Richy Richard (British) [see
note 1]
Report: The quick brown heinkel jumped over the lazy spitfire.
[See note 2]
Victory: [See note 3]
German bombing 15 VPs + enemies shot down 8 VPs
British enemies shot down 12 VPs
Total: +11 VPs, British Victory
Recommendations: The British did not have enough time to
reposition before they entered combat. Recommend moving the high
interceptor squadrons to the left two columns (to D8, F7). [See
note 4]
[hr]
Note 1: If playing solo, note this here.
Note 2: A prose account of the action. This does not have to be
long and can be as short as a few sentences. However, please
include any problems or issues encountered. Also any general
thoughts or conclusions on the scenario.
Note 3: A breakdown of scoring would be great. Please make sure
to include the final total. Some people don't do that and it
means I have to calculate it.
Note 4: This is the most important entry. Please give specific
recommendations for changes, as detailed as possible.

As a slight modification to the template, I'd like an additional
bit of information: When you write out the VP scores, can you
list:
(a) The actual Victory level, and
(b) the perceived victory level
For example: 'Total +11, British Victory (perceived Draw)'
The perceived level is what you think the victory level should
have been. This might help us determine a mismatch between what
the game is actually outputting as VP results and what the
narrative of the game is telling you the result should be.
'This was a British victory but I think the Germans did well
enough to deserve a draw, and this is not reflected in the
scenario.'
