       Lee,
       a German win :-)
       Scenario: S03 Rat Patrol - Test 03
       Version: v2.0
       Playtester: Jean Foisy [Solo]
       Plans:
       - Allied Plan: Tempests engage the FW and the Spits the 109s
       - Axis Plan: Same as Test 02: Fw-190 with only one Green will
hold the Tempests trying to lure them in Dogfights, while the
109 will RTB from T01, diving one level per turn, to get under
       the cloud layer.
       - When the Spits enter the 109 will climb in the layer,
hopefully in the Broken clouds and try to exit ASAP.
       Report:
       - Game lasted 7 turns
       - The two RAF experten were assigned to the Wing Leaders as were
two Veteran counters. The last one being given to the other
       Spit.
       - The German Experten was given to the lead 190. The Greens were
assigned to the JG27, only one went to the JG26.
       Victory:
       ALLIED VPs:
       Axis A/C shot down: 6 x FW190D-9 + 11 x 109K-4: 17 VPs
ALLIED TOTAL = 17 VPs (previous test 25 VPs)
       AXIS VPs:
       Allied A/C shot down: 6 x Tempests + 1 Spit XIV: 7 VPs X 2 = 14
       VPs
AXIS TOTAL = 14 VPs (previous test was 8 VPs)
SCENARIO TOTAL: +3 --> AXIS victory [Perceived Victory Level:
       AXIS].
       Recommendations: None
Assigning the German Experten to FW190 Lead was helpful in
downing more Tempests. Again the cloud layer combined with an
       early RTB helped the Bf109s.

How are we looking after two more plays?
       German losses: 28 + 13 + 25 + 12 + 16 + 16 + 17 = mean 18.1 VPs
       British losses: 14 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 8 + 10 + 14 = mean 8.2 VPs
The mean output is now +9.9, nudged down by the ability of the
       Germans to score more kills.
I agtree that Forrest's second play should have been a German
win. I am now being nudged in the direction of a +8 to +11 draw
window, which would give us the following outputs:
       Gordon & Andrew 1: +14 (Allied win)
       Elias 1: +7 (German win)
       Jean 1: +21 (Allied win)
       Forrest 1: +8 (Draw)
       Jean 2: +8 (Draw)
       Forrest 2: +6 (German win)
       Jean 3: +3 (German win)
This nudges German success to 3W 2D 2L. Just one or two more
       tests should settle these numbers.

       S 03
       v 2.0
       Game 3
       LOSSES- 12 x 109
       7 x 190
       19 VP
       2 x Tempest
       2 x Spitfire
       4 doubled to 8 VP
VICTORY- 19-8 for +11 VP for a draw as per Lee's new draw
window. British had a chance on the last turn with an attack on
the +3 column with a +1 mod but rolled a 3. German squadron
moved offboard on the next turn.

Thanks Forrest. I'm going to ask you to jump on S02 Piling On,
which is close to complete, and give me a play or two. I'll see
if anyone else delivers any more plays on Rat Patrol, but will
otherwise wrap things up this weekend.

       Lee,
       Scenario: S03 Rat Patrol - Test 04
       Version: v2.0
       Playtester: Jean Foisy [Solo]
       Plans:
       - Allied Plan: Tempests engage the FW and the Spits the 109s
       - Axis Plan: RTB on Turn 01 and avoid combat in diving or
climbing to create or maintain separation or go into the cloud
layer if noother option is possible
       - The Germans followed the plan. At the End of Turn02 no combat
       had happened.
       - On Turn 03 the 109s were covered by the unscathed 190. [109s
       were Q2 to N2 and the 190s were in R3, T3, W1]
       - The Spits had poor setup possibilities. They settled for W4.
       - After that it was only a cat and mouse game. When the Brits
climbed, the Germans dived and vice-versa or used the clouds.
       Victory:
       ALLIED VPs:
       Axis A/C shot down: 3 x FW190D-9 + 2 x 109K-4: 5 VPs
ALLIED TOTAL = 5 VPs (previous test 17 VPs)
       AXIS VPs:
       Allied A/C shot down: 3 x Tempests: 3 VPs X 2 = 6 VPs
AXIS TOTAL = 6 VPs (previous test was 8 VPs)
SCENARIO TOTAL: -1 --> AXIS victory [Perceived Victory Level:
       AXIS].
       Recommendations: None
Some bad tally rolls from the Brits didn't helped and the Spits
       setup should be better.
       Best.

       Scenario: S03 Rat Patrol.
       Version: V2.0.
       Playtester: Scott Spencer(solo).
Report: Four greens to the 109. Experte to the lead 190. Two
Vets and the Experte to the Spitfires. The Germans were
initially lucky. The Tempests bounced the 190s and downed five
of them. However, the Spitfires botched their tally roll and
some of the 109s waded into the Tempest fight and three Tempests
were lost. The Spitfires were late to the fight but downed
       eleven 109s for no loss.
Victory: British sixteen points, Germans six points(3 x 2).
16-6 = 10 Draw. Felt like Allied Victory.
Recommendations: None. Using the new window this is a draw.

So, this is the final reckoning for this scenario.
       German losses: 28 + 13 + 25 + 12 + 16 + 16 + 17 + 19 + 5 + 16 =
       mean 16.7 VPs
       British losses: 14 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 8 + 10 + 14 + 8 + 6 + 6 = mean
       7.8 VPs
The mean output is now +8.9.
       Gordon & Andrew 1 = +14 (Allied win)
       Elias 1 = +7 (German win)
       Jean 1 = +21 (Allied win)
       Forrest 1 = +8 (Draw)
       Jean 2 = +8 (Draw)
       Forrest 2 = +6 (German win)
       Jean 3 = +3 (German win)
       Forrest 3 = +11 (Draw)
       Jean 4 = -1 (German win)
       ScottS = +10 (Draw)
Looking at the outputs the current draw window seems to favour
       the Germans a fraction. German success is 4W 4D 2L. However, I
think I'm going to narrow the draw window a fraction in favour
of the Allies, to +8 to +10. This at least changes the outputs
to 4W 3D 3L, which looks more comfortable.
With that, I'll call this scenario done. Everyone can move on to
       Home Islands.
