Medium Bombers Diving to Strafe

Okay I guess I've never experienced this situation before, but I
have a situation where B-25 Gunships are currently at elevation
4 and within 4 columns of a target for strafing. Can they dive
all the way down to elevation 1 or 0 in preparation for
strafing on the next turn?

I see no restriction against this as 15.2.1 removes the max of 1
level diving restriction while flying a profile. Am I seeing
this right?

So for example is this movement satisfying the strafe profile
rules and flying shortest route rules?

I think they can dive as necessary as soon as they initiate the
profile.

Yes. Once you have commenced the profile it's good.
