Dave, what was the British exit VPs? Your write-up implies it
was 20 VPs, but I wanted to check.

Sorry, I miss-copied and left off a line from the results.
Here's the whole summary:
British exited bombers = 21
British for killed Germans = 6
Germans for killed fighters = 2
Germans for killed bombers = 21
Germans for the Expertenmaschine = 3
net = +1, a solid German victory

That gives us the following:
British Exit VP - 27 + 22 + 20 + 21 = mean 22.5
German Losses - 6 + 12 + 15 + 6 = mean 9.75
British Losses - 13 + 26 + 33 + 26 = mean = 24.5
The net score is 7.75.
A quick question: how eay is it to get the Expertenmaschine
bonus, and do we need to trim that VP bonus number?
I think we could do with at one more test, if that's okay, Dave.

Pretty easy to get the bonus I think. I’m in turn 4 of my
solitaire game and the Germans just did it. I’ll finish this
game this week and give a full report.
Gonna start games with Scott and Dave soon...like today,
tomorrow at the latest.

Pre Experten rule I was gunning for the lead formation
everytime. I think it should be somewhat rare and random to
kill it.

The Germans potted the Expertenmaschine on their first pass.
Al and I are planning a game in which he'll try to rebuke my
German optimization.

If it's easy to get then I don't mind keeping the bonus easy,
but possibly trimming it to 2 or even 1 VP.

S33 v0.4 Solitaire
Final VP's
British:
Lancaster Exit (One RTB, 3 disrupted, 1 good order) = 15
6 x 109 = 6
British Total = 21
German:
2 x Mustang = 2
10 x Lancaster = 30
SSR 5 Experte Bonus = 3
German Total = 35
Net: 21 - 35 = -14 for a decisive German Victory (definitely
felt like it)
Highlights:
Two German Sqds outfitted with gun pods.
Germans used SSR 6 benefit only twice. Better to not use it and
stay ahead of the charging Mustangs.
Lowest Mustang unit never caught up to the fight. Suggest
starting him up or forward a square.
Germans rolled well for cohesion.
British rolled [s]below[/s] above average for cohesion.
British didn't win one dogfight attempt.
I made the decision to RTB a mauled Lancaster sqd because the
point gained exiting would be far offset by the extra kills the
last German would have inflicted.
One German Sqd remained at game end (disrupted) and chose to
exit rather than fight with the sole remaining trailing Mustang
Sqd.
Germans scored 5 Lancaster kills on second to last turn of the
game with a combat table 6,6 DR with a disrupted gun pod
equipped, Experte Sqd. If that did not happen the score would
have swung by 18 points. Still a German victory but much closer.
I'm playing 2 games of this now via pbem.

I feel like we need a couple more tests on this.

I said the British rolled below average for cohesion. That was
wrong. They rolled above average, much worse than the Germans.
I’d like to see more opportunity for more cat and mouse action
with the Germans in the clouds, avoiding the Mustangs but
getting bounces on the Lancasters. I’m also thinking the number
of gun pods should be limited. But it’s still early for me to
draw any conclusive conclusions.
Just thinking out loud here...For replayability, you could have
a random set up for the clouds.
