S32 v0.3
American experten in lead P-51 sweep
American vets in escorts.
German vets and experte in Ta 152's.
Greens allocated as per SSR.
BOMBERS- 4 exited unscathed, 1 disrupted and 1 broken for 28
VP.
LOSSES- 4 x B-17
11 x P-51
23 VP
1 x 109
2 x 190D
3 x Ta152
6 VP
VICTORY - +11 net for German victory, felt like German victory.
Nothing to recommend at this point, as I want to run this
again. American play could have been better as I thought it
would be a good idea to break the green 109's with the sweep
P-51's first and then get them back to protect the bombers.
109's held up long enough to let the 190D's and 190 A-8 to slip
through. The Ta152 squadron brought out the can of whup ass,
breaking 2 P-51 squadrons by itself. The damage to the bombers
was done by the FW190 squadrons with their firepower of 3 and 2
for the A-8's and D's.
Some interesting choices for the Germans as to where to
allocate their experten, putting them with the Ta152's might be
overkill since their firepower is a 3. It might be better to put
them with the 190 D's as it will give them a boost. I'm thinking
that the Americans should ignore the 109's in the beginning and
concentrate on the squadrons that set up behind them. Another
good decision to made as far as game play.
Good scenario, the Ta152's are really fun to play with.

I'm glad to hear that. I was a little worried that the Ta 152s
would not get much chance to shine.

S32
version 0.3
American experten is P-51 sweepers, vets in escorts.
German green as per SSR, experten in 190-D.
BOMBERS- two squadron disrupted, other 4 exited in good order.
30 VP
LOSSES- 4 x B-17
8 x P-51
20 VP
5 x Ta152
4 x 190 A
7 x 190 D
4 x 109
20 VP
VICTORY- +30 net for a draw; felt like a draw. Played Americans
better this time, the Ta 152's did not dominate as much but the
Ta152 flight on their last pass pushed this into the draw
territory. I want to run this through one more time to see if I
can get an American victory.

Scenario: S32 Hohenjäger
September 16, 2020
Version: 0.3
Playtesters: Scott Key, solitaire
Report:
- Game lasted 8 turns
- [s]There was 1 height error at set-up (the Ta-152 flt, this
was fixed through orders from the Wing Leader late[/s]r)
- The Luftwaffe green counters were assigned to 2 trailing
Bf-109G10 sqns.
- Luftwaffe experte counters assigned to the Ta-152 sqn and the
lead/low Bf-109G10 sqn
- The veteran Luftwaffe counters were assigned to The Ta-152 sqn
(which did not split, though in retrospect it should have
- I set up the USAAF Escorts too high so one P-51 flight never
entered action (failure to react)
- Cohesion rolls in the first half of the game tended towards
the very low end so I had units on both sides breaking and
escaping most of the turns in which combat occurred.
- Only the Ta-152 sqn made it into contact with the B-17s but it
wreaked havoc for it’s two turns of combat.
USAAF:
order: +36vp= +46 vp
Luftwaffe: x11 P-51 fighters downed:-11vp; x4 B-17s
downed:-12vp= -23vp
Victory:
Total: +23 vp
Recommendations:
- As you can see the USAAF took heavy losses so in historical
terms this is definitely in line with a German victory of this
late period.
- I definitely feel this is a balanced scenario with lots of
good choices to be made, very replayable

This sounds strange. A wing only have one vector, and if a
flight has a vector of its own, it is no longer part of a wing,
and cannot rejoin.

You’re right
It’s been a while since I’ve dealt with wings. I’ll Re-re-read
the Wing rules.
Ultimately it didn’t affect anything

S32
v 0.3
3rd game
American vets in escorts, experten in sweepers.
German greens as per SSR, experten in 190-D.
BOMBERS- 2 x disrupted, 1 x broken, 3 x unscathed- 25 VP
LOSSES- 4 x B-17
3 x P-51
15 VP
7 x Ta152
2 x 190A
3 x 190D
5 x 109
17 VP
VICTORY- +27 VP for German victory
Americans were sitting pretty until turn 5 when a
190D got through to a B-17 without fighter support. 4 hits were
rolled with 2 B-17's downed and squadron disrupted. It might
have been prevented if I switched back a P-51 to escort duty and
had a successful reaction. Next turn a B-17 broke and that
pushed the Germans to victory as all P51's had broken. The
Ta152's suffered from poor cohesion rolls this time.
RECOMMENDATIONS- the point spread may favor the Germans a bit
here or up the split limit for the P-51's to six. Fun
scenario...options for replay are good. Counting Scott's run
through, after 4 plays there have been no American victories.

Great work! I'm crunching the numbers on this later today,
Forrest. Can you please move on and give S34 Counterblow a run?
