THIS IS SECRET - DO NOT BROADCAST PUBLICLY
It looks like Supremacy 2e will go in the next P500 update.
Please do not say anything publicly, as I don't want to queer
the pitch. However, in August I will want to switch attention
from Legends, which is approaching the end of development, to
Supremacy. More on this when I have my planning in order.
Again, please stay stumm until I'm in a position to make a
public announcement.

So I've just sent Rachel at GMT the blurb and sample art for the
new Supremacy P500 web pages. So it's looking likely that we'll
be going public on this on Thursday.
I'm not sure exactly when they go public with new stuff. In
their mail-out to designers they said Thursday, but occasionally
there are delays, and there's also this time zone nonsense that
means we in Europe don't get to see anything until Friday.

So from what Rachel tells me Sup 2e goes live some time later
today, after the GMT monthly mailout. We're talking noon to
mid-afternoon West-coast time, which I guess may be past
midnight my time.

The 2nd edition Update Kit is also up for pre-order for US$30.
Went to do so but found that GMT's new single option (UPS)
shipping rate to Canada would add a flat US$29 to the cost, even
for something as small as an update kit - in this case it
effectively doubles the cost to US$59 = Cdn$79. Ouch :-(

So on Dropbox I’ve replaced the old 03Aug20 version of the
Supremacy scenario book with a new 09Aug20 version. This has the
Bomber Command scenario adjusted with Elias’s tweaks.
This means that three of the four new scenarios are at alpha.
I’m waiting on Gordon and Andrew to test the final one,
Counterblow, and then have Elias take a look.
I’m loathe to pivot to look at Supremacy 2e until we have
Legends put to bed, which I hope to do in the coming weeks.
However, I think there are a number of steps to getting Legends
done:
(1) We test the new scenarios to final state
(2) We look at the old scenarios
Now, I think that one of the early steps will be to triage the
old scenarios into three groups:
(a) Redesign. Scenarios that need redesign for various reasons
(in some cases because we might have better source material, or
because the art of scenario design has advanced in the last few
years)
(b) Retest. Scenarios that need retesting in the light of second
edition rule or value changes.
(c) The Rest. Scenarios that either don’t need a retest or that
we suspect are fine as-is.
Let’s look to start this process in early September. But by all
means take a look and make notes here or privately before then.

I'm not seeing the 9 August 2020 version of the Supremacy book
in Dropbox > Wing Leader Playtest > Wing Leader Supremacy second
edition. Maybe it got accidentally moved?
