What ADC Do I Use?
By: pilotofficerprune Date: February 24, 2020, 6:07 am
---------------------------------------------------------
So before the holidays we talked about creating a combined 'What
ADC Do I Use?' list for Legends. Rick said he'd have a go at
drafting this in a spreadsheet. I'm looking for this to be a
slight expansion of the existing lists.
(1) It needs to combine all the lists together, and all
variants.
(2) As an expansion of the existing lists, it needs to list not
only the name and parent ADC (and whether it is a variant), but
also all card versions and the games or expansions they appear
in.
I'm imagining something like this:
The Bf 109E ADC has appeared in Victories as v1.0, was updated
in Blitz to v2.0 and finally updated to v2.2 in Victories second
edition. In the ADC list I imagine it might look like this:
Bf 109E-1, E-3 'Emil' | Bf 109E-4 'Emil' variant | v1.0 (V);
v2.0 (B); v2.2 (V2)
Bf 109E-4 'Emil' | Bf 109E-4 'Emil' | v1.0 (V); v2.0 (B); v2.2
(V2)
Bf 109E-7 'Emil' | Bf 109E-4 'Emil' variant | v1.0 (V); v2.0
(B); v2.2 (V2)
Obviously I'm using a simple code here, such as 'V' for
Victories, 'B' for Blitz, and 'V2' for Victories second edition.
Another knotty issue is that some ADCs have added variants as we
have upgraded them. Do we need to note this in the variant data,
by including/excluding the version of the card that variant
appeared?
Any thoughts, and is there any other critical information we
should list?

With regards to the code, should we use just single letters or
three-letter abbreviations to indicate the expansion a version
appears in?
For example:
Bf 109E-4 'Emil' | Bf 109E-4 'Emil' | v1.0 (V); v2.0 (B); v2.2
(V2)
Or,
Bf 109E-4 'Emil' | Bf 109E-4 'Emil' | v1.0 (Vic); v2.0 (Blz);
v2.2 (Vic2)
Space should not be too much of a problem, but I want to avoid
writing the names of games and expansions out in full.

The latter is easier to follow to me.

Hi Lee,
Distracted by real life stuff this past week but should be good
to go now. Re spreadsheet, I have MS Excel for Mac 2011 on my
laptop - assume that will be okay (i.e., compatible)?

Hi Rick. Yeah, that should be good.
Do you have everything else you need? (Such as all the versions
of the game and ADCs?)

Hi Lee,
I have hard copy of the manuals and ADC cards for WL:V1, WL:V2,
and WL:S modules and ditto for the WL:B and WL:E expansions (so
everything that has been published) plus the same for the final
e-version of the WL:O. I don't see ADC cards or an ADC list in
the WL:L materials, but presumably they will come.

Rick, I assume you have access to the dropbox. If you check the
'Wing Leader aircraft data cards' folder you should find a .pdf
file of the Legends ADCs there. Plz let me know if you have any
problems getting the file.
