re: stand-offs
Ok missed that phrase. I made sure in the actual play not to mix
the two types of attacking squadrons but it occurred to me.

Scenario: L22 Black Day Over the Ore Mountains.
Version: v0.3.
Playtester: Scott Spencer(Solo)
Report: Split Greens equally between 190s and 109s. 3 Experte
to 190s, 2 to 109s. Germans were able to change vectors on Turn
One and it was off to the races. The Germans were able to get
one unmolested shot at the bombers before the Mustangs caught
up. Cohesion rolling was dreadful for the American flights,
which was the difference. The Germans were breaking fairly
quickly as well which also helped to keep losses down. Game was
effectively 7 turns as on turn 8 the remaining broken Germans
fled the map.
Victory: US - Nine VP for fighter kills(six 109s, three 190s),
Ten VP for exit points(one each broken, disrupted, and intact
B-17) = 19 VP. German - Four P-51 kills and Eight B-17 kills =
28 VP. +9 German Victory. Felt like German victory.
Recommendations: With better cohesion rolls this could have been
a Draw or even a US victory. I think this is in pretty good
shape but it might be worth changing the arrival time of the
Mustangs in Z13 from Turn 6 to Turn 5. They seem to come in
just a tad late.

Roger that. Can you please give this one more run with that
change to the Mustang arrival and let me know what difference
that makes? I think we're close to Alpha on this.

Scenario: L22 Black Day Over the Ore Mountains.
Version: v05.
Playtester: Scott Spencer(solo)
Report: All Vets to the P-51s. Greens split evenly between the
two German Wings. Three Experte to the Sturmbock Wing. The
Sturmbock Wing was able to change their vector at the end of
turn one. The 109 Wing rolled poorly on their GCI roll and flew
right into the P-51 buzz saw. Poor rolling was a hallmark of
the German effort, especially cohesion-wise. Twelve 109s were
lost and the entire Wing broken. The Sturmbocks were
ineffective against the bombers, only downing three while losing
three in turn. Six P-51s were shot down. One B-17 squadron was
broken but the other two exited intact for Thirteen VPs.
Victory: German 15VP. US 28VP. 15 - 28 = -13VP. US Win.
Felt like Major US Victory.
Recommendations: Moving up the P-51 sweep squadron from turn six
to turn five made no real difference, it basically gave them a
one square movement gain. German cohesion and attack rolls were
dreadful, so I view this play as something of an outlier. I'd
like to have one more go with this one. It might be interesting
for the Germans to swap a Experte for a Veteran marker.

Hi! I have completely missed that you have decided to include
this one. I need to set up better notifications for the forum. I
will try to catch up with your thoughts and cooperate on the
development.

Hi Petr! We adopted this scenario after another one didn't work
out.
As you will see, we have adjusted the scenario a little, but not
much. On the whole it's well-liked and we haven't had to tweak
it much.

Scenario: Black Monday Over the Ore Mountains.
Version: v0.5.
Playtester: Scott Spencer(solo).
Report: Put one Green and four Experte with the 190s. 109s got
three Greens and one Experte. Germans all climbed forward one
square towards their A column vectors to gain height and hope
for good GCI rolls at the end of the turn. Both 190s and 109s
made their GCI/Vector roll and the chase was on. The Germans
downed seven P-51s and six B-17s, breaking two B-17 squadrons.
US downed nine 109s and two 190s.
Victory: German 25VP less US 19VP = +6VP Draw. Felt like: Minor
German Win.
Recommendations: None. I do think German success hinges on
getting those vector rolls made at the end of turn 1, especially
for the 190s.
