By the way, if you feel that you’ve already done as much as you
can with the scenario you have been assigned, say so and I’ll
       move you elsewhere.

Pete and I are still working on L08 PBEM, but I have time
available to work another scenario solitaire.

Dave, do you think you could please take a look at L10 Battle of
the Bismarck Sea and pick up where Andrew and Gordon are done?

       End Week 3
Two weeks in and we have 17 logged plays. At this rate we will
complete testing some time in late August, which is good. Might
even do it quicker, as I suspect we are getting to Alpha in
around 3.5 plays rather than 5, so my estimate for test
       completion may be too generous.
       [attachimg=1]
Note the assignment changes from last time:
       (1) Dave to L10 Battle of the Bismarck Sea.
       (2) Scott K to [s]L11 All Day Permanent Red.[/s] Update: sorry,
I made a mistake. This should be L12 Army Day.
       (3) Elias to L02 A Foreign Legion.
You will notice that I will be marking a scenario as ‘Okay’
(i.e. Alpha) when two requirements are met:
       (a) Two test teams have played and okayed the scenario as
       alpha-ready.
       (b) One of those teams includes either Gordon/Andrew or Elias.
As my most experienced guys I want one of Gordon/Andrew and
Elias to be involved with every scenario, which at the same time
making sure that more than one set of eyes have been over this.

       End Week 4
So we put on another five tests this week, which is pretty good.
At the current rate of test I predict we’ll be done by the end
of summer*, though obviously the back end of that test will be
beta, where I hope to have more hands available to help out and
do the grunt work of grinding out balance data. We may even be
able to bring this thing in with fewer than predicted numbers of
tests, as there already seems to be a lot less wasteful testing
       in this alpha stage.
(* Actually, Criswell says that we should be done by the
beginning of August, though I wouldn’t put money on that)
I spoke to Gordon last week. His and Andrew’s schedules sound
busy in the coming couple of weeks, but he hopes to get back to
testing soon and blitz through some scenarios.

       End Week 5
So this week we added another 8 tests. We are making good time
and I reckon this kind of close management of test may be saving
us a lot of test cycles.
I am hoping that Scott S will help move Raid on Nanking into the
Beta phase soon. Same with Scott K and Operation Retribution.
I’m a little concerned about a few scenarios where testing seems
to be running slow. Pete, is everything okay with you, or do we
       need to reduce your workload?
As you can tell, I am going pretty strong on the art side. At
this rate I should have all new masters done by the end of march
and possibly all counter art complete by the end of May.

       End Week 6
It’s been a really productive week this week. I’ve logged 12
plays plus the two already logged for Ore Mountains. Thanks to
everyone for your effort - it’s been great to see some of the
scenarios evolve, in particular Clark Field and Rikko.
I’ve revised my target tests down from 8.5 per scenario to 8.0.
As you can see from the numbers that puts us around a quarter of
the way through the scenario testing, which is great!

       End Week 7
We got a solid five playtests this last week and I’ve signed off
Operation Retribution as alpha-complete. We’re going great guns
here and as we square away the initial scenarios we are starting
to get on top of the middle-numbered scenarios.

       End Week 8
Two months in and we are motoring nicely. Two more scenarios got
signed off for alpha this week and we are close to having half
the scenarios at alpha. Keep this steady pace up and we are well
on course for completion in the summer. I’m proud of youse guys.

       ---------------------------------------------------------
       End Week 9
It’s been a healthy week on tests with another 6 tests logged.
(Currently we are averaging 6.9 tests p/w. If we sustain this
rate we’ll be done by midsummer, though I expect it will be
       closer to late summer.)
Two more scenarios were signed off as alpha, so we now have half
the scenarios at that stage. There’s only four scenarios with no
plays at all and those will be gone in a couple/few weeks.
