So let’s do a quick comparison. First, the old numbers:
       Italian bombing VPs - 1 + 6 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 5 = mean 1.7 VPs
       Soviet loss VPs - 3.5 + 7.5 + 18 + 14 + 17.5 + 17 + 5.5 = mean
       11.8 VPs
       Italian loss VPs - 6 + 6 + 8 + 5 + 5 + 9 + 2 = mean 5.8 VPs
       Soviet bombing VPs - 4 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 4 + 2 + 0 = mean 2.0 VPs
       Now the new numbers:
       Italian bombing VPs - 0 + 0 + 1 = mean 0.3 VPs
       Soviet loss VPs - 4.5 + 11.5 + 10.5 = mean 8.8 VPs
       Italian loss VPs - 10 + 10 + 4 = mean 8.0 VPs
       Soviet bombing VPs - 2 + 2 + 6 = mean 3.3 VPs
So the old scores we were seeing an average of 13.5 - 7.8 = +5.7
With the new scores this shifts to an average of 9.1 - 11.3 =
       -2.2
I think we this I am going to adjust back slightly. These are
       the proposed changes from v0.6:
       (1) Add a Veteran to the Soviets with a special rule assigning
       it to the SB.
       (2) Drop the number of Soviet Green markers by 1.
This basically hands the Italians back a single Experte (back to
       2 Experten).
I’ll take you off this one, Forrest. I’ll ask someone else to
take a fresh punt at this and check how it’s going.
Could you give me two plays of L16 Last Hurrah, please Forrest?

       Scenario: L06 Italians in Russia.
       Version: v0.7.
       Playtester: Scott Spencer(solo).
Report: Vet + Experte given to lead top and bottom Italian
fighter squadrons. Top Italian squadrons spotted poorly and
were engaged by top Russian squadrons. The Russian fighters did
a good job tying up the Italian fighters until the last turn.
Seven I-16s were downed for the loss of two Macchis. Flak on
both sides downed one bomber. Russian bombing scored no hits
and Italian bombing scored four hits on the Bunker. On the last
turn the sole remaining Macchi squadron downed 3 SBs
Victory: Italian - eight VP for bombers plus 3.5 for fighters
and 2.5 for bombing equals fourteen VP. Russian two VP for
bomber and two VP for fighters equals four VP. 14-4 = 10
Italian victory. Felt like lucky Italian victory.
Recommendations: None at this time. The Italians pulled this
out on the very last turn with three bomber kills and no Russian
bombing hits. The Italians also had four Macchi stragglers!
With just a little Russian luck this would have been a draw.

       Scenario: L06 Italians in Russia.
       Version: v0.7.
       Playtester: Scott Spencer(solo).
Report: Same setup as before. It boiled down to excellent
Russian cohesion rolls vs poor cohesion rolls for the Italians.
A number of Italian flights broke on first contact with the
enemy and it snowballed from there. Russian fighters were able
to get in several attacks on the bombers and downed one and
broke them. Flak got a second. Russians lost four fighters and
one bomber while the Italians lost six fighters and two bombers.
Russian bombers each scored one hit on the Italian infantry
while the Italian bombers scored no hits.
Victory: Italian - two VP for Fighters plus two VP for a bomber
kill = four VP. Russian six VP for fighters, four VP for
bombers, plus one VP for bomb hits = eleven VP. Four VP -
eleven VP = - seven VP. Russian win. Felt like Russian win.
Recommendation: None yet, still one playthrough to go. This go
around luck was very much on the Russian side.

       Scenario: L06 Italians in Russia.
       Version: v0.7.
       Playtester: Scott Spencer(solo).
Report: Same setup as before. Luck was fairly even for both
sides for a change. All fighters were broken by the end,
leaving just the bombers. The Italian bomber was broken and
scored no hits. The Russians managed one hit each from their
bombers on the artillery. Italian Flak scored one kill.
Victory: Italians - Six fighters and two bombers shot down =
Seven VP. Russian - four fighters downed plus two bomb hits on
       the artillery = five and a half VP. 7VP - 5.5VP = +1.5 Draw.
       Felt like Draw.
Recommendations: This one presents a good challenge for both
sides - I felt each had a shot to pull it out at the end in this
last playthrough. I've had an Italian win, a Russian win, and a
draw. I like where this one is at but it might need some more
       plays to calibrate.

Scott, on that last play I was a little mystified as to where
the half VP came from. Halving surface target scores is rounded
       up.
Okay, we have three tranches of test on this scenario. The first
       tranche:
       Italian bombing VPs - 1 + 6 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 5 = mean 1.7 VPs
       Soviet loss VPs - 3.5 + 7.5 + 18 + 14 + 17.5 + 17 + 5.5 = mean
       11.8 VPs
       Italian loss VPs - 6 + 6 + 8 + 5 + 5 + 9 + 2 = mean 5.8 VPs
       Soviet bombing VPs - 4 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 4 + 2 + 0 = mean 2.0 VPs
       Mean VP output: +5.7
Numbers for the second tranche (Forrest playing):
       Italian bombing VPs - 0 + 0 + 1 = mean 0.3 VPs
       Soviet loss VPs - 4.5 + 11.5 + 10.5 = mean 8.8 VPs
       Italian loss VPs - 10 + 10 + 4 = mean 8.0 VPs
       Soviet bombing VPs - 2 + 2 + 6 = mean 3.3 VPs
       Mean VP output: -2.2
Numbers for the third tranche (Scott playing), following the
       last round of adjustments:
       Italian bombing VPs - 2.5 + 0 + 0 = mean 0.8 VPs
       Soviet loss VPs - 11.5 + 4 + 7 = mean 7.5 VPs
       Italian loss VPs - 4 + 10 + 4 = mean 6.0 VPs
       Soviet bombing VPs - 0 + 1 + 2 = mean 1.0 VPs
This gives us a mean VP output of +1.3, or a draw. This puts us
back much closer to where I think we need to be.
I’m going to stick a fork in this one for now, as the changes
seem to have worked. It’s very swingy, this one, but we can live
       with it.
Scott, can you please give me a couple or three of plays of L15
       Tussle over Trapani?

Sorry forgot about the round up. I'll get on Tussle and
       remember my fractions better.
