Roger that. Do you want to do another play with these changes,
or shall I pass it on to someone else?

v0.5 (0.4 modified as per above)
Player: Elias Nordling (solo)
I still don't know what the average game looks like, but I'm
sure this was not it. The Italian rolls were terrible, and they
left the game without having made a dent on the bombers OR their
escorts. The German fighters fared little better. the Italian
flak showed some effectiveness, downing a bomber and disrupting
the squadron, but also disrupting both German fighters. The
Italians could console themselves with the fact that the Allies
had trouble hitting the ground with the bombs.
Final score:
Axis: 1 bomber, 1 fighter: 3
Allied: 3 bombing hits, 5 pts, 6 Ftrs: 11
TOTAL: -8 ALLIED WIN
Felt like: Draw
Comments: I'm still not sure the Axis needs more help, not after
the first game. I guess it needs a bit more grinding to collect
more data. I'd like to move on in the meantime, but if more data
shows this to be balanced on points, I would be happy to send it
to beta.
I liked the changes introduced in the last revision, and I think
the changes since the first version are small enough that all of
these results can still be used when tabulating the average
score.

That's great. I'll add in your last set of change proposals and
then find someone new to take a look.
Can you please move on to L17 Royal Bulgarian Air Force, please?

Since my kids school will be out all next week that actually
buys me an extra couple of hours a day so I am pretty much
positive I’ll get to this one on Thursday or Friday. Organized
the counters and pulled the ADCs so it’s ready to go.

Scenario:L15 Tussle Over Trapani, March 17, 2020- PLAY #1
Version: 0.5
Playtesters: Scott Key, solitaire
Report:
- Game lasted 9 turns
- There were no height errors
- P-40s were successful in both reacting and starting dogfights
so the bombers were left unmolested until after their bombing
runs
- Bomber squadrons both glide bombed.
- I/JG 77 squadrons were both assigned gun pods
- The Allied goal here was to draw the R.A. Fighters into
dogfights then pull them into clouds and hopefully both units
would lose cohesion. This worked twice.
- Fighter rolls were on the low side so combats were not deadly
and were usually decided by cohesion rolls.
Flak Summary:
- Heavy Flak caused 2 straggle results on the Baltimores (= 1
loss), no loss of cohesion
- Flak fired twice on the Bostons causing 1 straggler and 1
loss, no,loss of cohesion
Bombing Summary:
- Bostons (veteran) rolled a 9 (modified to 10) 50% hits doing 6
damage
- Baltimores rolled a 10 (modified to 9) doing 25% hits for 3
damage
Axis: x4 fighters downed= +4 vp; x6 bombers downed (3 from each
sqn)= +12 vp= +16 vp
Allies: x4 fighters downed= -4 vp; Heavy damage to the
Railhead= -10 vp= -14 vp
Victory: Allies
- Total: +2 vp
Recommendations:
- The play of this scenario felt right. I probably need to vary
the Axis tactics a bit but the Allied bombing rolls were good
enough to make a difference and if they had rolled average it
would have moved the game into a draw.

Do you feel the need to do another play of this before you sign
off?

Nope.
After thinking about it I think it’s pretty well balanced.

Fine, I'll mark it at Alpha. Can you please give L22 Black Day
Over the Ore Mountains a run?
