It is not clear to me if the P40F in the scenario are British or
US, though I'm guessing they are supposed to be British in
desert camo. In either case, there is only one flight of US P40F
and one British P40F flight, and none is on the Legents asset
list, so you might need to add that.

Oh bum. I can correct the art to be a British Kittyhawk, but yes
we are down a flight. I'll add that to the asset list.

I stand corrected, sort of. I went back and looked at Shores
and they do not really specify. I assumed they were Brits since
they were over the British invasion area. I think this gives
you the flexibility to just use US counters and not have to
re-do the art.

Hmmm. It might be safer to assume they are British. We kinda
need the extra counter anyway, though this means I'm now tight
up against the counter limits and I'll have to trim some fat
somewhere. It may be the C-47 squadron.

Both sides have rigid doctrine. That is unexpected in September
43. What's the thought here?

More like I was rather new to the game when I wrote this. The
British could certainly stand for split limits since they are
out numbered and as you noted, should have tactical flexibility
by this period. As for the Italians, I think we may be hemmed
in by counter space issues to add flights.
We do have two British Spit IX flights and one Squadron in
desert schemes so we can split them. With the expansion P-40F
flight counter, we'd have enough to split a P-40F squadron as
well.

Don't worry about counter space limits. If we need flight
counters to support splits I shall find the space for them. What
I need to know is whether additional flights are needed for
splits or whether the scenario can stand without them.

Looks like I edited my post as you responded Lee. I say try it
once as is, but I think Elias is correct about adding some
splits. It certainly could not hurt to allow the Spits to split
- the Italians are bringing their A Team to this fight.
