The boy looked up at Selene. "I just want to go home. I want
to see my mom and dad. I want to see my sister again." He
wipped his eyes lightly, "My name? My name is Daniel.
Why....why would he think I had a key." The boy curled his arms
around himself. The question was half posed to her, half just
to the air.
As he screamed Lola couldn't run, she was too scared to run.
[i]"Ro...Roka?"[/i] As his screams echo'd through the area the
shadows stopped and let go of the boys. Creeping back into the
tree they seemed to melt into the background. Lola looked up at
the boy she knew, her legs having given out from under her.
"Roka? What were those things? Why do you know about them?"

She gently ruffled his hair. "Don't worry Daniel, I don't know
why this guy attacked you but I'll make sure you get back to
your family." she stood up and held out her hand "But sitting
around won't get us out of here so lets go."

"Dan, Alec, if you can hear me, come to where me and Lola
are..." He bend down and put his hand on the barrier, wanting to
grab Lola and protect her along with the boys, ignoring his own
wounds. "Listen to me, I not sure exactly but that must've been
some sort of a demon. I know about them because I was attacked
by them a couple of times... all those stories told by the
staff, they were partly true, Lola... Demons are real..." he
said softly at the end, his tones show no lies, he didn't want
the kids to know about the demons, he didn't want them to get in
danger. 'Dammit... whatever the shadows was... it almost got the
boys... thank god it let go of them in the end...' Roka though.
He wasn't smiling, and Lola and the boys knew if he wasn't
smiling, he was serious.

The young boy looked up at Selene with a glimmer of hope in his
eyes. "You...you promise?" He took her hand and stood up but
the sound of metal scraped across the floor. The boy was
chained to the floor. "He has me trapped here. Can you help
me?"
The two boys began to slowly make their way over to Roka. Lola
looked at him as he explained. She looked at him with slightly
wide concerned eyes. "Demon's.....are real? But why didn't you
look like you Roka?"

Roka shook his head, pushing his hand against the barrier,
hoping he would get through it and hug the kids and protect
them... "I don't know the whole story myself, or why they are
even attacking me. But that form you saw, relate to it. I'm not
a demon, but let just say that also me." He said, he couldn't
explains it, nor could he tell her what he was, the thing about
guardian wasn't known to citizens, hell, he only know few facts
and he doesn't understand it completely either! Demons on the
other hand, was widely known, through tales, musics, history,
and even rumors.

She picked up the chain and looked at it wondering how easy her
sword would break it. "Perhaps..." she mumbled, using her free
hand she reached behind her back and unsheathed her sword.

The chain appeared rusty, like it would break with a solid blow.
The boy looked at her and spoke quietly. "I haven't seen
anyone since I woke up here. Besides you that is."
The barrier continued to hold strong as the boys approached.
Light was dwindling in the sky in Roka's current reality. Lola
looks at him. "But it wasn't you, so how could it be you. You
changed like magic, why do you have another you?" Timid,
fearful curiousity was in the girls eyes. The world around her
being saken, even trusting a friend was hard. If he couldn't
tell her the truth.

Roka blinks, seeing lola's fear mixed with curiousity in her
eyes, he sigh to himself after seeing the barrier won't break.
"Like I said, I don't know the whole story, but I'm a guardian.
The other me is named Ankur, he is like me, but not me at same
times. I guess it like magic. That all I know, honey." he
answered her truthfully. If he told her that he was the guardian
of New life... it would just confuse the poor girl... she far
too young to understand most of these things, same with dan and
alec...
Roka notice the light was dwindling in the sky, and it puzzles
him. 'What going on...' he though to himself.

She nodded, striking the chain she smiled when it broke apart.
"I agree, I'm not even sure where we are..." she said and looked
around.

The boy waked forward a bit, the world stretched out in never
ending darkness. "I dont know either. I just don't know why
we're here." He sighed and started walking, almost as if he
was leading the way. "How did you end up here?"
Lola looked at Roka. "A guardian? A guardian of what? Are you
like a super hero?" She asked still curious, as the sun
continued to set, drawing closer to dusk.
