He scoffed "Sorry if I don't believe that. She's been here for
months with barely any word to us, nor a visit to at least tell
us how she's doing. Nor has she invited you to meet me, her own
father. I can only assume this is some blackmailed arrangement,
though my wife claims that isn't so." he said.

Before he could reply the door swung open and Nicolina came out
into the hallway. "Mom told me to tell you to come inside for
tea and to stop scaring Nero." she said, smiling. A smile broke
out on his face and he quickly swept her up into his arms
"Panda! You never come home, you've made me and Dnate so
worried. Here I find you living with some ruffian who your
mother claims is delightful, which I doubt." he rushed out,
tightening his arms around her.
"I'm fine dad, I was very busy so I didn't have time but Dante
came to check on me, I'm not living with a ruffian. I'm living
with my boyfriend, mother is never wrong...and don't call me
Panda!" she blushed but hugged him back. "Ignore my father, he's
honestly a big softy who likes to act tough." she wiggled down
out of his arms and began pushing them inside. "You and your
mother need to stop telling people that." he muttered with a
pout.

Nero rushed in the house and ran straight to the farthest place
away from nicolinas dad.

Alexander smirked smugly at the boys retreat while Nicolina
shook her head. He immediately went to the chair his wife was
sitting in and picked her up "See I played nice." he said,
sitting down with her in his lap. Nicolina sat down on the couch
beside Dante, leaving room on her other side for Nero. Claudia
shook her head and picked up her cup of tea. "Sit down Nero, I
shall keep my husband from bullying you further." she said.

She took his hand and smiled. "Now then Panda, perhaps you would
like to explain to me why you decided running away from home, to
live with some boy was a good idea." Alexander said, shooting a
glare at Nero. She sighed "I...just had to leave. I was going
through some things and fortunately for me I met Nero and he's
mostly helped me. Don't worry I'm not in any kind of illegal
trouble or doing gang work or whatever else you and Dante can
come up with. I'm just...a lot happier living with Nero." from
her side Dante rolled his eyes, since he knew the truth he
stayed quiet.
Claudia smiled "Your aura seems much brighter Nero, I can assume
it is due to having Nicolina back from her trip. Though yours is
a bit grayer than normal Nicolina, I do not know what has
happened but it has darkened you somewhat, but I'm sure Nero
will brighten it up again."

Nero acted as if he didn't see her fathers glare and whistled to
himself. Once claudia spoke to him his attention was 100
percent. "Yes ma'am" he responded happily and smiled

She smiled and gestured to the books she had set on the table.
"I was not sure if they were needed but I felt a force telling
my to bring a few apartment books." she said, tucking a lock of
hair behind her ear. "Your father and brother have taken the
liberty of circling the ones closest to home. Feel free to
ignore those." she added.
Nicolina giggled "We were thinking about finding a new
apartment. With at least an extra bedroom for guests." her
father rolled his eyes. "At least consider the ones we picked
out. It wouldn't be terrible to have you close at the very least
so I can check on on you since you never visit." he said.
