Working furiously to stop the bleeding the doctors had to make a
larger incision to be able to stop the internal organs bleeding
that had been torn open. The fervor in the room continued as
the doctors closed the wounds and began to close her wound,
keeping a close sign on her vitals. They kept going through
bags of blood and medications to keep her from feeling much of
the pain.

As the medicines wore off her hands clutched at the watch and
she whimpered softly in pain.

The nurses began to move about the room quicker as they prepared
to take Nicolina to intensive care as the doctors finished
closing the wounds. Refilling her IV bags the nurses rolled her
into a private intensive care room. One of the nurses led Nero
to follow.

The room smelled sterile, it was like a wave when they entered.
Getting Nicolina set up, with all of the diagnostics set up so
they could keep track of her vitals in case they spiked. The
IVs kept a steady flow of painkillers and other medicines.
There was a chair right next to the bed for Nero.

Her breathing was less labored as they transferred her, though
she continued to stay unconscious with her hand still clutching
the pocket watch.

allowing his forehead to rest on the bed. his hands held hers
softly

The medical staff allowed the two to be alone in the room
together, but still had a close watch on Nicolina's condition.
