Seeing the weapons she stepped in front of Aku and electricity
formed around her hands. She glared at him silently, hoping he'd
back down and not cause a problem. Aku looked at her back with a
smirk "Go ahead and kill him my dear Nicolina, this world will
be much better off without his failure roaming about." he said
arms crossing. She knew she wouldn't kill him, she'd admitted
that she couldn't bring herself to do it during there earlier
encounter "I don't think he's even worth our time and effort. We
have much better things to do after all."
Aku tilted his head, amused "A bit hesitant to kill him? Why, he
hurt you, cheated on you while I gave you all that you
desired.....surely you don't still have feelings for him, are
you regretting the power and freedom I've given you my dear
Nicolina?" he questioned.

nero gritted his teeth at being called a failure, his hands
tightened on his sword and spear chain. hearing aku speak of the
lies that tore nicolina form him made him snap. in a burst of
purple energy he became sable. his eyes glowing purple in rage
"LIAR!!" sable flickered behind aku and swung his short sword
aiming to cleave him in half

Selene reacted in time to block the attack with her sword,
giving Aku enough time to leap away as she fell back from the
sudden force. "Well Nicolina I would suggest you go ahead and
kill him." he said and watched her. She shot a glare at Sable,
electricity circling her sword as she stood up.

sable was still glaring at aku, he did not notice nicolinas
glare at all. his sword glowed with energy and he slashed
upward. from the slash came a flock of birds made of the purple
energy. they homed in on aku and would only explode on contact
with him

In a flutter of shadowed feathers Haruko landed between Aku and
sable, her dark tinged eyes locked on the other guardian. As
the flock of birds rushed Aku, a torrent of black fire sprang up
in front of her to act as a shield. Her spear was drawn ready
to deal with another blow or anything that could make it through
the shield of flames.

the birds exploded on the wall of flames sable stepped back in
surprise "m-mitsuki?......why" sable eyes stop glowing as he
began to face the facts ".......all of my friends are leaving
me" the grip on his weapons loosened

"Is that so shocking, I believe my earlier words hold a bit more
truth than you'd like to believe." Aku said and smiled. "Good to
see you are realizing that, now then Mitsuki, Nicolina you may
go ahead and kill him, his life is of no use and it'll put a
nice stop to that idiot Princes plans."
Selene tightened her grip on her sword and looked down at the
ground before sighing softly. She shook her head "I...I can't
kill him." she said softly. Aku raised an eyebrow "And why is
that, he has become too much of a bother. Getting rid of him
would give you no more obstacles." he said. She shook her head
again "I can't, I still....I still love him and I can't kill
him."
Aku lightly tapped a finger against his chin "Well that
certainly is a problem, breaks your heart, and yet you still
claim to love him. A weakness I thought I had gotten rid of for
you."

Haruko's gaze stayed on Sable as he spoke. Her eyes remained
dark cold and emotionless. As Aku spoke she nodded and
tightened her grip on her spear, preparing to attack. However
at Nicolina's words she turned her head slightly. Her
hesitation, it was a problem. She let the dark flames dance
around the end of the spear keeping an eye on Aku out of the
corner of her eye as she turned back to sable.

She turned around til she faced the two. "Well it seems I'll
have to leave the task of killing this problem up to Mitsuki
then since you no longer have use." he said and smiled. She held
her sword in front of her "I won't let you harm him, nor will I
let him harm you. We should just drop this and go see about what
is happening in the city." she said, hoping that would work.
