Before the Storm (closed)

Deep underground Aku walked through one of the may tunnels
making up the mine. Torches lit up as he passed them until the
tunnel opened up to a large empty area. Behind him Nicolina
silently followed before breaking away and walking off to one of
the other tunnels "You don't plan to see your little friends
awakening?" he asked, amusement in his voice as he watched her
walk off. She stopped "I am sure Mitsuki will be quite fine."
she answered and resumed walking.
Aku watched her til she vanished, smiling he walked towards the
center of the room where a black pillar stood, emitting a soft
glow. "Hopefully you will be much easier to control." he
muttered. Taking the white dagger out he made a small cut on his
hand and placed it on the pillar. Red lines formed around the
pillar glowing darkly and sending out small pulses of energy.
Cracks began to form around the pillar until it shattered apart
leaving a lone figure on the ground. He picked his way through
the rubble and smiled "Well Mitsuki I believe its time for you
to awaken."

The figure lying on the ground amidst the ebony rubble moved
slightly as Aku approached. His voice reaching her ears, her
eyes fluttered open slowly revealing darkened teal eyes behind
the sleeping lids. Her face expressionless she rose to her feet
and surveyed her surroundings, her gaze settling on Aku,
brushing her hair back from her face.

"Now doesn't that feel nice, awakened with all the power you
need." he said and smiled, the dagger vanished and he put his
hands in his pockets. "Our dear Nicolina has wandered off to be
alone, perhaps sparring with her would be in your best interest
to show off your new power. After all sometimes a display of
anothers talents will show them they made the right choice."

As Aku spoke Mitsuki made a fist at her side. "It is, the power
I needed is in my hands now." Feeling the new power flowing
through her very blood, her very core, she nodded. Her eyes
casting towards the other tunnels she stretched slightly. "A
spar with Nicolina would be a good display, and give me a chance
to get a feel for this new power." Her face remained
expressionless as she spoke to Aku.

He nodded "Try not to bring the entire place down. I shall be
elsewhere." he said turning he walked off with a brief gesture
to which tunnel Nicolina vanished into.

She gave a small nod to his request as she turned down and
walked down the tunnel that Nicolina had gone down. Dark teal
eyes scanned for the night owl as she made a fist, watching dark
fire curl around it as she walked.

Nicolina was sitting in another open area, eyes closed and her
legs crossed as she tried to meditate but was interrupted by her
thoughts. Her feelings were at the surface of her thoughts
causing her to frown. Every encounter he makes me doubt my
choice...I still love him, but he hurt me so much with his
betrayal... she thought sighing softly.

Seeing the other meditating Mitsuki formed a small ball of black
fire in her hand. No longer caring if she was interrupting, her
goal was to spar as Aku suggested, whether Nicolina wanted to or
not. Throwing the ball of fire so that flew over her shoulder,
she stared at the other.

She felt the heat fly over her shoulder, singeing her shirt
along the way. Opening her eyes she turned her head to look at
the other, seeing the look in her eyes she stood up and soon a
black bolt of lightening went flying at her.

Mitsuki quickly spun to the right avoiding the bolt. "I didn't
even need to say anything." Letting dark flames swirl around
both of her hands she took off at a sprint towards Nicolina.
