Quiet Forest (late afternoon, open)

Nicolina sat atop a large boulder, her bare feet tucked beneath
her as she rested back against the tree behind her. Her hair
hung down completely, a few locks falling over to cover half her
face as she slipped into a meditative state. The last battle had
left her drained as she tested out her new powers, so she
decided she'd take her moment alone to relax until Aku decided
to come looking for her.

nero jogged through the forest listening to his music until his
senses picked up nicolina. quickly he made his way over. once he
saw her he smiled and stepped forward but stopped. his smile
faded and he looked away

She sensed a presence enter her area but she knew it wasn't a
demon or Aku. Figuring it was one of the other Guardians she
kept her eyes closed and remained quiet.

She shut her eyes again "I see, then there is no other reason
for us to continue speaking." she said.

"why is that? were lovers aren't we?" nero stepped closer to her
area "you dont find it weird that me, nero, the guy who loved
you so much just.....somehow miraculously cheated on you. so you
sell your soul to the devil......the nicolina i knew was
stronger and smarter than that. she would have deduced the
whole thing. "nero looked at her with content in his eyes

As he stepped closer a bit of black electricity formed around
her hand "I would prefer you not to come any closer." she said
and opened her eyes. "Whether you cheated or not doesn't concern
me any longer. I did what was needed to continue fulfilling my
role as a Guardian. Before I was ineffective but now I have the
power I need to fight."

nero stopped and looked at the electricity crackle on her hands
"your on a leash. what good is that power if its used for the
wrong cause..." he jumped into the air and landed on the rock
she was on "he's using you, once finished with the demons, he'll
turn on us guardians. and once were gone and he has what he
wants......how long do you think you'll be around hmm?"
