[Complete] Addled S1E0 - "Pilot Episode"

[The screen is completely dark, until a flicker of a dim, strobe
light phases into view. Suddenly, the camera snaps back to a
Spartan’s face, extremely close-up and suddenly screaming for
half a second, before snapping back to the pulsing light, a
little closer this time. Camera snaps again, this time, to a
gravitational pulse explosion shredding an entire room. Snaps
back to the orb, even closer now. Now it starts snapping back
and forth between images, a room full of machinery, people
backing up and screaming, and then the shredding pulse
explosion. Back to the light. The whole scene is replayed from a
different angle. Snap back to the orb. Again, another angle.
Snap back. Again. Snap. Again. Snap. Again... Gunshot, then snap
back to the pulsing orb again. The orb pulses once more and
dies. There is a black screen for several seconds, and then the
words 'nine months later' appear on the screen, then fade.]

Twilli [Matter-of-fact] "But I'm best at being me."
Jake [Deadpan] "He's got a point..."
Josh [Groggy] "Eurgh... What about unicorns?"
Twilli [Snickering]
Nicola [Pissed]: "What the hell did you dope him with Twilli?"
Twilli [Offended] "Oh of course, I'm the one that would have
slipped him something! How do we know it wasn't Dan?"
Dan [Retaliating] "Hey!"
Twilli [Smug] "We all know you want to do things to Josh, Dan.
I've seen your camera."
Josh [Groggy] "Came back wearing a smile..."
Twilli [Smug] "I think I win."
-Cue some type of intro-

Okay, so this is something that Twilli wrote up today as a
'pilot' episode for Addled, our machinima. The opening has
always been there, we'd just never known where to put it, until
now. Feel free to add to this, edit your own lines, and add your
own junk. I'll happily edit this until everybody is happy with
what's going on here. I just don't know why Quinn or Aura aren't
in this, but ah well.

I've seen your camera."
Aura, [color=skyblue]Quinn [Snickering in background]
Nicola [Angered, towards a different direction] You know you two
aren't helping by giggling in a corner?
Quinn [Sarcastic] Well, well... Sooorrrrry miss high-and-mighty!
Dan [Retaliating] And Twilli, me and Josh have done no such
thing!
Twilli [Smartass-tone] It's Josh and I, Dan. Not me and Josh.
Dan Fuck you.
Josh [Groggy] "Urfff..... Not right now Dan...."
Twilli [Smug] "I think I win."
Aura [Snickering in background] Heheheh.... Heh... Yea.. Pretty
much..
[Screen flashes white, then returns to black. Ominous music
starts to plays. After several seconds, a small, light blue ball
of light appears on the screen.]
Sangheili Commander [Grave, aged] Our enemies still live after
nine months... They've destroyed out communication outposts in
order to save each other.
[(Greyscale) Flash of the communication outpost exploding, with
Dan, Nicola, Jake standing outside, with Josh lying face down on
the ground, flashes back to the blue light.]
One lived through the impossible.
[(Greyscale) Flash of a screen analyzing the communication
outpost, with a small arrow pointing to a small part. LIFE
SIGNATURE DETECTED is at the end of it... Screen flashes back to
the blue light now pulsing.]
Twice.
[(Greyscale) Flashes to the interior of a covenant ship, with a
Spartan being confronted by the an Elite Commander.. The words
"..a bullet lodged in the back of your head as we speak.." echo.
Flashes back to the blue light which has grown, and is much
brighter and still pulses.]
They'd left one behind to die.
[(Greyscale) Flash of a Twilli being carried off towards an
elite encampment. Blue Light]
He came back with vengeance.
[(Greyscale] Flash of Twilli towering over Josh pointing a
pistol towards Josh's head. "I get to kill the bastard that
abandoned me." Echoes. Flashes back to holographic image of
Twilli's Spartan.]
Twilli.... One of the toughest humans that has ever set foot on
our holy land. Not to mention the most devious, and capable. He
has many strong leadership qualities, however no one in their
right mind would follow him on his path to find the deepest
level of hell you can touch while alive. He has never stayed
down for long....
[The Spartan image flashes, and Josh's comes up.]
Joshua. Twilli's main accomplice. He has some mechanical
ability. He can be quite optimistic, and cares a lot about his
friends. In times of weakness, he has done things to his allies
that has put their life in danger, as well as his own....
[Spartan Image flashes to Nicola]
Nicola. A very weak shot, but a technical genius. If she had the
time, she could take pistol and a laser pointer and make an
atomic bomb. She has used our technology and used it against us.
Her practical knowledge has saved her squad time and time again.
Her modesty has kept from admitting it almost every time,
though.
[Jake's Spartan]
Jake. A fairly.. reckless but determined driver. He appears to
know how to drive in a combat situation. Otherwise, he'd
probably end up off a cliff. He has a really upbeat attitude. He
is a rather odd, and usually quite immature human. He is not
really the most loved of the group, and is always thought of to
be the 'kid'.
[Dan]
Daniel. He's... the oldest of the group, and has can be quite
the accurate shot. He is usually serving as a decoy, regardless
of his ability with a gun. He has become the scapegoat and in
another world has probably been tortured beyond belief by his
allies.
[Aura]
Aura... She is a stealth expert. She is good at infiltration and
lowering defenses, but even the best assassin needs a helping
hand in case of things going sour. And she has the best beside
her. In the end, she doesn't really need it anyway.
[Quinn]
Quinn is an excellent CQC fighter, and has fought out of
captivity using her bare hands because she couldn't figure out
our weapons. She is one of the more reckless of the group,
however that is not necessarily a bad quality, as she is the
only one to go through with things others would hesitate to do.
[The spartan image fades, and returns to the circular blue
light, as seen at the start. Music starts to fade out..]
...Will you help us..?
Unidentified Human [Light Optimism] Gladly.
[Light Flickers, then disappears.]
[Several seconds pass.]
Twilli [Insightful] And so began the second chapter.

Hrm... I like. Very dramatic. However, I've noticed that the
Sangheili Commander 1) occasionally breaks from formal speech to
casual, and 2) talks about his enemies in a favorable light. You
may wanna think 'bout that.
On a side note, could my reply to Nicola be, I dunno, a little
different? I know I'm pretty rude, but this is Nicola I'm
talking to. How about something along the lines of, "My job is
hitting things until they stop moving. Do you really want me to
help?"

I really like the whole drama feel to this, too, it's really
suspenseful, yay. The only thing within the mechanics of it I'm
wondering at are why there are quotations around some lines when
they're absent around others. Oh, and colons before some lines
and not others. Those aspects aren't particularly important, but
I felt like pointing it out. As for my lines, the cursing is
still a little strong, so I'll just go ahead and use this as an
opportunity to edit all my lines, yay~
"It's dying down a bit, and everything reads okay..."
"Dangit Twilli, this isn't the time for you to be.. er.. you!"
"What on earth did you drug him with, Twilli?"
"You know, the two of you just giggling in a corner really isn't
helping!"
Awesome job on the script so far! So, should we start submitting
our lines as the next installment is being written?

Okay, createaforum.com, it's me vs. you now! Hopefully, third
time lucky, you'll allow me to post this... So yeah, I've
written this out for the third time.
Consider yourself loved, I guess.
[center]/// S1E0 – “Pilot”[/center]
[The screen is completely dark, until a flicker of a dim, strobe
light phases into view. Suddenly, the camera snaps back to a
Spartan’s face, extremely close-up and suddenly screaming for

scene snaps back to the orb, even closer now. Now it starts
snapping back and forth between images, a room full of
machinery, people backing up and screaming, and then the
shredding pulse explosion. Now back to the light. The whole
scene is replayed from a different angle. Snap back to the orb.
Again, from another angle. Snap back. Again. Snap. Again. Snap.
Again... Gunshot, then snap back to the pulsing orb again. The
orb pulses once more and dies. There is a black screen for
several seconds, and then the words 'nine months later' appear
on the screen, then fade.]
Twilli [Muffled, distant]: “Hey, Josh! Wake up!” [Becomes
clearer, still distant.] “Seriously, what the hell is wrong with
him? He’s having a seizure or something.”
Nicola [Worried, distant]: “It’s dying down a bit, and

Twilli [Passive]: “If that’s the case, let’s just leave him b--”
*melee sound* “The hell?!”
Nicola [Irritated]: “Dang it Twilli, this isn’t the time for you
to be... well, yourself!”
Twilli [Matter-of-fact]: “But I’m just the best at being me.”
Dan [Annoyed]: “At being what, a jerk?”
Jake [Deadpan]: “He’s got a point.”
Quinn [Joking]: “Pfft, that’s what she said.”
Joshua [Groggy]: “Ugh... what about unicorns?”
Twilli [Snickering]
Nicola [Angered]: “What on earth did you drug him with, Twilli?”
Twilli [Offended]: “Oh, of course, I’m the one who would have
slipped him something! How do we know it wasn’t Dan?”
Dan [Retaliating]: “Hey!”
Aura [Serious]: “Maybe because you’re the one who’s most likely
to have done something like this. We know you like to play your
little games, Twilli.”
Twilli [Smug]: “Hmph. So says the girl who’s a professional
stalker.”
Aura [Demanding]: “I seem to recall you also dabble, no?”
Jake [Amused]: “Are you accusing Aura of being a creepy rapist
or somethin’?”
[Both Jake and Quinn laugh.]
Nicola [Aggravated]: “You know, the two of you just giggling in
a corner really isn’t helping!”
Quinn [Shrugging]: "My job is hitting things until they stop
moving. Do you really want me to help?"
Twilli [Relief]: “Don’t think this gets you off the hook, Dan.”
Dan [Pissed]: “H-hey! You have no proof! Why would I even want
to do something like this? I was in the base the entire time! Me
and Josh can’t ha--”
Quinn [Smartass]: “It’s Josh and I, Dan, not me and Josh.”
Daniel [Venting]: “Screw you.”
Joshua [Phased]: “No... Ugh... not right now, Dan...”
Twilli [Smug]: “Ahem, no proof, you were saying? Yeah. I think I
won.”
[Screen flashes white, and then returns to black. Ominous music
begins to play. After several seconds, a small light blue ball
of light appears on the screen.]
Sangheili Commander [Grave]: “Nine dark, bitter months have
passed whilst our opponents still reside on this planet... even
disrupting our plans for the arrival of the prophets.”
[(Greyscale) There is a flashback to the communication outpost
exploding, with Dan, Nicola and Jake standing outside, with Josh
lying face down on the ground. The scene switches back to a
holographic image of Twilli’s Spartan.]
Sangheili Commander [Gruff]: “The Chosen One... without a doubt,
one of the most able humans ever to set foot on our holy land.
Hardened, resolute and capable; qualities our race seek for and
pride amongst our warriors. Out of these humans, he holds many
strong leadership capabilities, but his callous and often
sadistic nature leaves his relationships with the rest somewhat
severed. He can never stay out of the big picture for too
long...”
[The Spartan image flashes and Joshua's spartan comes up.]
Sangheili Commander [Unflinching]: “The One in pink. If any
human was close to the Chosen One, it’d be him. He has somewhat
limited mechanical ability, but a creative mindset to put the
tools at hand to use in interesting ways. His optimistic nature
is only outweighed by his empathy for his companions. Throughout
dark times, he has performed feats at the risk of his own life,
as well as theirs...”
[Nicola’s Spartan flashes onto the holopad.]
Sangheili Commander [Deep]: “Professor Cirius. Although a weak
shot, it is her scientific nature that defines her character.
Although she insists on restricting herself to extremely limited
human tech, she has been able to discern the use of our divine
covenant technology and even use it against us. Her scientific
potential is unparallel to any other human I have encountered.
Her practical knowledge has saved her squad time and time again
– although her modesty has kept her from admitting it almost
every time...”
[Next appears Jake's Spartan.]
Sangheili Commander [Stern]: “The young One. Never put under
pressure by his lack of wisdom, this one tends to find making
things explode his forte. His primary experience lies in the use
of directing vehicles under combat situations, and he is equally
as deadly without one. Armed with a wealth of prior vehicular
knowledge, he can know what’s up with a vehicle before it has
even malfunctioned – of course, lacks to mechanical skills to
fix it himself. Surprisingly, his young and chaotic outbursts
are few and far between – his usual approach to combat tends to
be a lot stealthier than most would suspect. A rather unusual
individual...”
[Dan flashes up.]
Sangheili Commander [Mysterious]: “The generic One. Being the
oldest of the group doesn’t appear to push any extra
responsibilities onto him, although responsibility is usually
shifted over to him anyway. His aim is accurate enough to use
the Sniper – but he ambiguously claims he never has to use the
scope. He prefers to stick back and keep himself to himself;
because he’s usually serving as a decoy, regardless of his
ability with a gun. If stuck in the line of fire, he’ll aim to
take out as many enemies as possible as quickly as possible. He
has become the scapegoat and if in any other world has probably
been tortured by his allies.”
[Aura’s figure appears on-screen.]
Sangheili Commander [Unsympathetic]: “The One with the shadows
is an expert of stealth. Her agility and accuracy are one and
the same, both much higher than average. She has one of the more
serious attitudes amongst her fellows – but that doesn’t mean
that this one never smiles. Her talents reside in infiltration,
disrupting defences, picking pockets and locks - but even the
best assassin needs a helping hand in case of things going sour.
And she has had the best beside her. Fortunately for her, she’s
never needed the help. Yet...”
[Last but not least, Quinn’s image is projected.]
Sangheili Commander [Deadpan]: “This one... The One with... the
mouth. As her nickname implies, this one has an abnormally loud
approach to life. This female is an excellent close-range
fighter, and has fought out of captivity once before... she
never quite captured the serenity to use our weapons and simply
hit things with them. She, with Jake, is one of the most
reckless of the group, even though next to Dan she is the second
eldest. However, her open approach is not necessarily a bad one,
as she is the only one to go through with things others would
hesitate to do.”
[The spartan image fades, and returns to the circular blue

Mysterious Voice [Soft]: “...Will you help us..?”
Unidentified Human [Light Optimism]: “It’d be my pleasure...”
[Light Flickers, then disappears.]

So the things is, Twilli's gone off on another camping trip.
Again. This time with his family. Again. Do all Canadians camp
as often? We can only hope not, otherwise Twilli won't even have
the time to watch this, let alone help write it!
@Quinn - Thanks! Twilli and I are, more or less, trying to tell
a story. We're trying hard to incorporate drama, comedy, action,
and maybe even a little romance. ^^
I noticed that too. Keep in mind, though, that Twilli wrote all
that the one day he was back from Cadet camp, very very tired
from the sounds of speaking to him over xbox live, and he had to
spend the day getting ready to go camping again that very night.
Sucks to be him, I'm afraid. So, I took the liberty of
re-writing all that but keeping what Twilli had said, more or
less. Oh yeah, and I added your lines.
@Nicola - Yay! Glad you like the dramatic atmosphere too! Yup,
same reason for the mechanics I guess, you see that my first
post has all colons and quotation marks, and Twilli simply added
stuff without the same format. I like to keep things consistant
too, so that's all okay in this script. :3
Oh, I added your lines too. Now, I don't suggest doing these
lines quite yet. We're still in the processing of editing this,
I guess, even though we're more or less down. Seeing as this is
still a work in progress I wouldn't suggest it as we may change
lines about and whatnot, however, when this is labelled as
complete, feel free to go ahead and perform those lines. Infact,
I might even go and make two boards for 'Complete' and 'W.I.P'.
@Quinn - Oh yeah. Perhaps we'll just assign different people to
them, idk. I more or less got the elite/s covered. At least the
sangheili commander here, I changed a couple of things around
with Audacity to produce a gruff, elite sounding voice. We don't
want all the elites sounding the same, though, so I'll probs
rope in Dan, get you and Twilli to record stuff with Audacity,
then everybody is happy.
EDIT: Heck, I nearly had a heart attack. I posted this, then it
was all, "Internet Explorer cannot display this page" and I was
about ready to go"FFFFFFFFFF--" then clicked back and nearly
cried with joy when I saw this was all here. :3

Cool. I'd like to see how things turn out, since you're trying
to blend so many different things. The "romance" aspect,
however, may be marred by the fact that few of us would agree to
having our characters shipped. XD I wouldn't mind, I guess, but
it'd be juuuuust a little awkward.

Mmkay, but I'm not sure how I could be of much use. The voices I
know I can do are: 1) Me (obviously), 2) Cartoon villainess, 3)
Idiotic girl, 4) Moe-ish, 5) Demonic growl. Only #5 would really
work with the story... So, yeah, good luck.

Wow. This forum has cool looking quotes. o3o
The romance aspect is more for comedic value than anything, and
really we're not ultimately trying to tell a love story anyway.
And [s]we[/s] I promise not to make it awkward anyway! Besides,
the more awkward it is the more funny it is because it's not
true :3
Don't worry about your voice either. I'm making an Audacity
tutorial on how to sound kickass and elite-ish. Involves bass
boosting a pitch changing. Maybe even Gverbing. All that good
stuff.

[Screen flashes white, and then returns to black. Ominous music
begins to play. After several seconds, a small light blue ball
of light appears on the screen.]
Sangheili Commander [Grave]: “Nine dark, bitter months have
passed whilst our opponents still reside on this planet... even
disrupting our plans for the arrival of the prophets.”
[(Greyscale) There is a flashback to the communication outpost
exploding, with Dan, Nicola and Jake standing outside, with Josh
lying face down on the ground. The scene switches back to a
holographic image of Twilli’s Spartan.]
Sangheili Commander [Gruff]: “The Chosen One... without a
doubt, one of the most able humans ever to set foot on our holy
land. Hardened, resolute and capable; qualities our race seek
for and pride amongst our warriors. Out of these humans, he
holds many strong leadership capabilities, but his callous and
often sadistic nature leaves his relationships with the rest
somewhat severed. He can never stay out of the big picture for
too long...”
[The Spartan image flashes and Joshua's spartan comes up.]
Sangheili Commander [Unflinching]: “The One in pink. If any
human was close to the Chosen One, it’d be him. He has
somewhat limited mechanical ability, but a creative mindset to
put the tools at hand to use in interesting ways. His optimistic
nature is only outweighed by his empathy for his companions.
Throughout dark times, he has performed feats at the risk of his
own life, as well as theirs...”
[Nicola’s Spartan flashes onto the holopad.]
Sangheili Commander [Deep]: “Professor Cirius. Although a
weak shot, it is her scientific nature that defines her
character. Although she insists on restricting herself to
extremely limited human tech, she has been able to discern the
use of our divine covenant technology and even use it against
us. Her scientific potential is unparallel to any other human I
have encountered. Her practical knowledge has saved her squad
time and time again – although her modesty has kept her
from admitting it almost every time...”
[Next appears Jake's Spartan.]
Sangheili Commander [Stern]: “The young One. Never put
under pressure by his lack of wisdom, this one tends to find
making things explode his forte. His primary experience lies in
the use of directing vehicles under combat situations, and he is
equally as deadly without one. Armed with a wealth of prior
vehicular knowledge, he can know what’s up with a vehicle
before it has even malfunctioned – of course, lacks to
mechanical skills to fix it himself. Surprisingly, his young and
chaotic outbursts are few and far between – his usual
approach to combat tends to be a lot stealthier than most would
suspect. A rather unusual individual...”
[Dan flashes up.]
Sangheili Commander [Mysterious]: “The generic One. Being
the oldest of the group doesn’t appear to push any extra
responsibilities onto him, although responsibility is usually
shifted over to him anyway. His aim is accurate enough to use
the Sniper – but he ambiguously claims he never has to use
the scope. He prefers to stick back and keep himself to himself;
because he’s usually serving as a decoy, regardless of his
ability with a gun. If stuck in the line of fire, he’ll aim
to take out as many enemies as possible as quickly as possible.
He has become the scapegoat and if in any other world has
probably been tortured by his allies.”
[Aura’s figure appears on-screen.]
Sangheili Commander [Unsympathetic]: “The One with the
shadows is an expert of stealth. Her agility and accuracy are
one and the same, both much higher than average. She has one of
the more serious attitudes amongst her fellows – but that
doesn’t mean that this one never smiles. Her talents reside
in infiltration, disrupting defences, picking pockets and locks
- but even the best assassin needs a helping hand in case of
things going sour. And she has had the best beside her.
Fortunately for her, she’s never needed the help.
Yet...”
[Last but not least, Quinn’s image is projected.]
Sangheili Commander [Deadpan]: “This one... The One with...
the mouth. As her nickname implies, this one has an abnormally
loud approach to life. This female is an excellent close-range
fighter, and has fought out of captivity once before... she
never quite captured the serenity to use our weapons and simply
hit things with them. She, with Jake, is one of the most
reckless of the group, even though next to Dan she is the second
eldest. However, her open approach is not necessarily a bad one,
as she is the only one to go through with things others would
hesitate to do.”
[The spartan image fades, and returns to the circular blue
light, as seen at the start. Music starts to fade out...]
Mysterious Voice [Soft]: “...Will you help us..?”
Unidentified Human [Light Optimism]: “It’d be my
pleasure...”
[Light Flickers, then disappears.]
[Several seconds pass.]
Twilli [Insightful]: “And so began the second
chapter.”

lines yet? It's not super important, I accidentally trashed the
footage I had of the first episode (-.-') but it'd be nice if I
