Minecraft server... for the server!

Sup guys.. I was wondering if anyone here plays minecraft, and
knows how to set up a server! I'm kinda starting to get back
into minecraft mainly for the fact that it doesn't **** up when
I start up as often then it used to... and I missed the building
and exploring parts of the game. Anyways, if you play minecraft,
and have ever set up a server, then I'm asking you if you could
set up a server for this server! :D whoever does so will
personally get a reward from me, idgaf what that noob ben says.
If interested, please make a server with a good connection, and
have it running a lot of the time. Also, if possible, make the
staff on here staff on that server. And if you make a server
just to get a reward from me, then end it and never turn it back
on, I will find you, and destroy you.

P.S. You CAN still make a server, whoever was in the process of
making one or thought of making one, it doesn't matter. Just
because there's a server up doesn't mean we won't still play
yours :) if you were making a server then finish it! and post
the info below, and i'll update this thread

Actually, you won't be giving out 'rewards' to anyone. IF this
does happen, it should be because they want some fun, not items.
Anyway, go play on 'oasis-mc.us' if you want to play Minecraft.
It's the server I was a Mod on.

Fag. I don't wanna play on that lame ass server. What am I gonna
say? I'm a good friend of ben's and he was mod on this server so
I can get mod? no. and I know no one on that server. And I think
it IS a good idea to give rewards out to anyone who contributes
to the server in a big way

hey i know how to make a Minecraft server just PM me if you want
to know and also i am new here so hi lol but i can eitehr make
you a server where you can have plugins (like mods sorta) or
just a "crappy" regular one lol either one i can do so i will be
happy to help you

I never said you should become a staff member. It's a greatly
developed server, and is actually the best one I've found.
Also, they are not contributing to the server, as it is a
completely different game. They shouldn't contribute to the
'server' for items. They should contribute to make it better,
otherwise it's for the wrong reasons.

Okay, true, but lets be honest, no one at all has contributed to
the server in a big way, not in a way that we thanked them many
times and gave them rewards. This minecraft server is a good way
to get the community together, cause maybe some players on the
server play minecraft more than this? In my eyes I think its a
good thing to reward them for their hard work. Alexis made us a
ventrillo, yet no one uses it. Why is that? Cause vent sucks?
Idgaf, its fine to me. Skype can only hold so many people in one
call, i'm guessing ventrillo can hold a **** ton of people, way
more than skype. And apparently since no one likes ventrillo the
back up thing to talk to everyone is the chat on the forums? Ye
alright, I never see more than 5 people on that **** at a time.
My point here is I would love to play minecraft with the awesome
people that play this server, and not any random fags out there.
Impulse made this server and is pretty much rewarded for his
hard work with donations, so I wanna reward whoever makes the
minecraft server (if anyone makes one) with an item of my/their
choice. It's not a gift, and it wont **** up the eco, I just
want to reward them PERSONALLY FROM ME, it's my post, so I'm in
charge of it, niqqa
And if they don't want an item, thats fine.
And honestly, this is a big reason why some of the newer players
quit... they do so much for this server like advertising and
making videos and expecting something for their effort but then
we have to tell them oh no we don't give out rewards... but
thanks though! they're gonna be like well fuck this i just did
all of that for nothing

I'm seeing your point, but you WILL NOT be the one to give out
items. People shouldn't expect a reward for what they've done.
If they're just doing it for the reward, and not for server
growth or happiness, then like I said, it's for all the wrong
reasons.
