Dungeoneering
By: Acavier Date: October 31, 2014, 10:29 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Current Level: 82
Target: 85
Went on a rush through some less complex lower floors with
Scoot, Auto, and Pig. Not sure why we went on the ones we did
as we got very little tokens and XP, but I guess we might have
been building prestige.
Hope to go on some more with them or others for some better
tokens and XP soon.
I've gotten my level 82 mostly on lamps, resource dungeons,
sagas, quests, and the occasional trip through a floor or two in
a group of clan mates. I'm not that knowledgeable on how to get
the most XP/tokens per floor, so I rely on others to help me.

[font=arial]i'm like ace, got my dg lvlz from not doing dg, only
went 4 times I think, one of the times was with sifu, scarlit,
spit n slap. I did have fun although I had no clue as to what
to do. it wasn't the dg that was fun but the company I went
with. I would like to do this again, for sure want spit to be
part of it, as he knows what he's doing n to have sifu, scarlit
n slap would be great too, as they know what to do. I did a
little bit with mage not too long ago, he had the place cleared
n boss beat before I knew it. so to have him in our group would
also be great. so maybe set a day long event of nothing but dg?
how many can go in a group? have leaders that can help us
lesser players get the xpz n tokens well. i'm 82 or 83 (I can't
remember) dg with little experience in the ways of dg, some have
made me things that I have bound, but not sure if it the best
stuff to have or not. I melee, its what i'm comfortable with,
but is mage or range better? well hope for today, being the
last day of bxpw, I get a nice group to go with n gain a few
lvlz.

Bliss, in response to this, I have created an all day event for
holding DG runs.
The first event is set to "Coming Soon" as I don't have a set
date yet. I just wanted to get the word out that one is coming.

Yay, I'm level 85!
Thanks to Lethal Ace and Spit, I had a lot of fun as we rushed
through some large floors.

With the amazing help from Lethal Ace and some others that he
picked out, I was able to get to level 86 and get 100,000
tokens!
We went a bunch of floors with one group then re-grouped due to
some having to leave. After a few more floors, we re-grouped
again. Each time, I didn't question it, just let Lethal take
the lead. During one floor, I had to give some attention to my
baby, Kindle. I wasn't away for long, but that is when the
trouble started. Since I was a higher level in most of the
skills, I was having to run from one end of the dung to the
other doing all the puzzles and skill doors. I would go through
one door only to find another high level door or puzzle in the
next room. While I was dealing with these puzzles, some were
starting to complain that I wasn't getting to their 99 str door
fast enough. Some stuck up for me, while the others just
complained. After that floor, we re-grouped again.
After doing that floor, it was ever more clear that who you do
the floors with makes a great difference in how you enjoy the
skill. You see, Dung is more like a huge mini-game than a
skill. It's affected a lot more by the groups and people you
skill with than any other skill in the game. As such, each
player has different opinions about this skill. While I respect
each one's opinion of the skill, all I ask is that they don't
use their views to discourage others from trying or even doing
the skill. As a clan, we should encourage each other to use the
skill to the best for their enjoyment. The rewards will be much
better that way.

The dungeoneering event was great. I'm not sure if many
participated, but it did give start to possible future events
and was a lot of fun.
I was able to get to level 87, get the second aura from the task
system, complete a lot of tasks, and find a primal maul!
Late Sunday night, I attempted a floor with Serial. I was able
to get 3 tasks done. One was a smithing task requiring a pot to
boost, one was a crafting task also requiring a boost, and the
third was wearing four bound items, which I did using dual
weapons. With all the tokens required for 2 remaining hard
tasks, these elite ones seem a whole lot easier to do. Anyone
else feel the same way?
Anyways, my trip through the floor with Serial was cut short due
to a horrible lag followed by a complete disconnect caused by a
brief internet outage. When I got back in, I found myself
outside, unable to re-join Serial on the floor. Since it was
very late, I had to call it a night and head to bed.
As long as there are people in the clan like Selb, Serial, and
Lethal who don't care how horrible I am at this skill, dung will
remain fun, and I will be able to trudge through the floors in
good company :)

Well, Dung feels like it's going slow right now. I go to do
some floors in the 30's with a few mates and seem to only get a
trickle of tokens.
It seems like to get maximum tokens, you need to be in a group
of 5 and do floors on the large setting.
I'd love to do some floors with 4 other clan-mates.

Yes, that is very helpful.
Wow, this past weekend is just a blur, lots happening.
I was able to get level 90 and get my four bound items. While I
have dual primal rapiers, and they are fast, I'm sticking with
my primal maul as my ring upgrades are for 2 handed weapons. I
also got the 58k tokens I needed for the tier 9 ring upgrade.
Now I have to get 233k more tokens for the final upgrade! This
is going to take a while, just like level 95 I need for the
final task. The first is for the last hard task in the set.
The latter is for the final elite task in the set. While these
two aren't difficult, they are sure time consuming.
Then going on to level 99 or even level 120 will be a very long
road. But if it's done with some friends, it could be a very
enjoyable road.
