       Why Are People So Rude/Nasty On the Internet?

       Is it the case that people know they can get
       away with it while hiding behind a computer
       screen? They wouldn't have the guts to
       behave in such a way to a persons face but
       over the internet you can say what you like
       and still keep all your teeth. Do some get a bit
       of a thrill out of it do you reckon? Wind
       someone up and sit back laughing and
       masturbating while it all kicks off?
       I think people are only getting ruder/nastier as
       time goes on. When i first began using the net
       you'd get the odd one but now its all the time.
       I'm not the least bit surprised when you hear
       on the news about people being victimised on
       facebook or twitter. It's an easy way for
       cowards to find a victim.
       I think some people seem to forget there is
       still a person with feelings at the other side of
       the screen too. Type out or do something
       nasty over the net and is that somehow ok?
       The other person will be ok with it cos it
       happened over the internet? Not so really.
       Thoughts?
