Early life
John was born to Lieutenant Jack & Lieutenant (J.G.) Renée
Harriman on the 23th of September, 2345, in the Sickbay aboard
the starship U.S.S. Arthur. Renée was an operations officer and
Jack was Chief of Security they were married two years before
while on Leave on Earth. John was a good kid and wanted to be
like his dad, his dad told him that if wanted to join Starfleet
that he would be keep it part of the family. So he started
reading the missions and biographies of a few Starship Security
Chief’s such as Lieutenant Malcolm Reed, Lieutenant Pavel Chekov
and many others. He had a very active life growing up, in
February of 2349 his mom and dad were transferred to Starbase 28
because his mother got pregnant with his brother Andrew, On top
of being pregnant his mother and father had to have some updated
training but after one year there they went back to the Arthur
while still keeping up with his studies.
John was a hard worker and did everything on time, he was never
late for any class he had that he could remember. He loved to
read, play chess, fence, and run. In his spare time he would go
to the Holodeck, to run races so he could get better as well as
fencing with the Musketeers. He graduated from high school June
6th 2361 with an Academic Honors Diploma and 3rd in his class.
He went to Earth because he had gotten into Harvard Law School
and got his Masters in Criminal Law and a Masters in Law
Enforcement graduating May 12th 2367, 4th in his class. He left
the campus of Harvard and went straight to San Francisco to
apply to the academy to become a security officer. John spent
four years in the academy to be a security officer and graduated
in June 26th 2371.
While John was in school his mother and father were transfered
to the U.S.S. Jackson where his Father became the First Officer
and his mother the Chief of Operations.
Career
After the academy John was assigned to the U.S.S. Jackson as and
Lieutenant (JG). Even tho his father was the XO he still went
through hell and high water to earn the respect of his fellow
officers after many battles and missions, he was made the
Assitant Chief of Security and Tactical one year later. He
served on the Jackson for two years before being transfered to
the U.S.S. Gareth at the start of the Dominion War as the CSTO.
He served there for the full war before being promoted to
Lieutenant and transfered to the 8th Fleet. During the war John
would lose many friends and fellow officers many of which under
his command. The Gareth being a Constellation Class Starship was
engaged in manny planet and space battles with the ablity to
land planet side it made for a great troop transport and planet
protector. John met many young and older officer during the war,
on a Lieutenat Colonel Patrick Brown the leader of a Marine unit
that from late in the war. Colonel Brown would later transfer to
normal Starfleet becoming John new Captain on the Endeavour,
John was happy to have a Tactical Diplomat as a captain.
When he arrived to the HQ of the 8th Fleet he was assigned as
CSTO of the U.S.S. Endeavour. John served on the Endeavour for
five months before she 'ran aground' in a cloaked minefield.
While she recieved repairs John and most of the crew were
reassigned to the Atlantis. John retained his rank and took the
position onceagain as CSTO of the ship a job he by that time
knew quite well.
