i know most people dont like it, but do y'all ever do Posting
Orders? i only ask because it might become necessary once we
come into contact with enemy hostiles, with this many RPers. I'm
not sure how it's been done here before, but i reckon it would
be easier to give everyone the chance for split-second
reactions, especially during personal combat. I hope I'm making
sense, kinda tired from work lol. The only drawback to posting
orders is having to wait sometimes days for someone to post, but
we could put a 24-hour time limit on it or something.
btw, who posts for NPC's when my character empathically reaches
out to feel for hostile intent or other emotions? would that be
the captain (GM)? or can anyone? (that is why i am playing the
Vulcan mind-block card :P )

No, there is no posting order on this site. With 12+ crew
members it would take weeks to get down what happens in days
here. There is a time and place for posting order- this is not
one of them. In your post you play catch up.
This is also because not all actions are relevant to each other.
For example, two medical crewman talking about the way to defeat
a disease beamed aboard the ship by the enemy as a B-plot
doesn't need to hold up the Captain issuing orders on the
bridge. Typically you wait for whoever you tagged to tag you
back before posting. If you tag multiple people (i.e interact
with them in a meaningful way) you wait until ALL of them have
replied. If they take too long though (think a 24/48 hour skip)
you can get back to them when they post unless it is imperative
that they reply.
The main thing you need to keep in mind is that the story needs
to keep flowing. That's the beauty of this sort of RPing.
And the Captain typically controls the NPCs. Sometimes the XO or
an appointed crew member will run one of them. Minor NPCs (like
if the ship is boarded by Klingon warriors for example) can be
controlled by the players. Sometimes we even have guest NPCs.
