KnodwI got a bloodwine ordered so he could at least be honored
to be asked by the captain to join them. Once the bloodwine
arrived, he partakes in the toast.
To our honored warriors fallen in battle may you travel the
river of blood to Stovokor.
He took a big drinks from his gobblet.
The he moved over to were his brother is at. He looked out of
the glass to see a starfield.
Brother, we have made it to the same ship. This could be a
first in fleet history.

Josh laughed a little. "I don't think so, Wesley Crusher
served with his mother." He said laughing a little. "I know
what you mean though I'm just busting your ridges. So what do
you think of our new home so far? "

brothers together, we can do some glorious things. Let's join
the party and be merry.
He gave his brother a slap on the shoulder. Then he moved
towards the bar for another bloodwine.

Josh watched as his brother KnodwI walked away. He took one
final look at the stars and walked away. Seconds later he
walked up to his brother at the bar. "Bloodwine please. " Josh
first had Bloodwine with his brother after he graduated from the
academy. The bartender handed him his drink and turned to KnodwI
and raised his glass in a toasting salute. "To the Shepard
brothers, may our lives be filed with honor and happiness."
Then Josh drank his Bloodwine with his brother.

Nine Lives
Jaden stood to the rear of the lounge and listened as the
captain toasted the crew that had assembled. It had been a long
several years and many of his friends had been lost. He looked
around the room and did not see many people that he recognized,
which was both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because it
would mean that new friendships would be formed and new
adventures were to be had. A curse because it would mean the
possibility of loss and Jaden had suffered too much of that in
his short life.
He held a glass in his right hand, it was full of bourbon. That
was his drink of choice, or it had become his drink of choice
during the last two years of war. Before the war he had stayed
away from alcohol, as it reminded him much to much of his
father. Once he lost his best friend Jackson, who he grew up
with and went to the academy with, his relief had been found in
the bottle. In his lift hand he held the PADD that his orders to
his new ship were on. He had been ordered to report to the
captain and he would do that, but at the moment it appeared that
there were several other officers that were trying to take up
his time.
Taking a drink of his bourbon, Jaden moved over to the bar and
sat down, turning his head so he could observe the activity and
other officers in the room.

Sylok complied with Droba's gesture and approached her. Like
most Vulcans Sylok's facial expression never really changes in
general it's seems to always be a solid expression completely
lacking of emotions. "May I be of assistance lieutenant?" He
said to the female Ferengi.

After the toasts were out of the way the Caitian stood once more
and looked around at everyone gathered there before holding one
hand up to let them know he was going to speak once more. "Crew
of the USS Atlantis, Tonight we enjoy this meal and get to know
one another and in the morning we depart on our mission, I have
been given command, Commander Sharpe is now First Officer and
Commander Howell is the Second Officer, As for our mission. Well
for some of us it may be a difficult one we are heading for
Cardassia IV to investigate the reports of P.O.W. camps where
the Cardassians are still holding prisoners". He stopped letting
his words hang in the air he looked to the people he knew had
lost friends and loved ones during the war and then to the
Flight officer who had mentioned Captain Grix earlier.
Upon seeing the XO had returned he stepped away from his table
and walked to her side "I am pleased the Admirals agreed to you
being my XO Maria you have always been my advisor and
conscience" He whispered before gesturing towards the Chief
Engineer "Mr Howell please come here and meet Commander Sharpe".
In truth Maria had been more than just an advisor she had been
his friend when he needed one and when he doubted himself over
the orders he was giving, It was Maria who made him realise that
the crew believed in him and his ability to get them out of
situations despite the odds. It was the crew that had chosen to
rename the room they stood in now to Nine Lives in tribute to
this.

Nine Lives.
On returning to the bar, the Captain had already came to her.
"It's because I understand you where some people wouldn't." She
said to him making sure no one else could hear.
Looking to Mr. Howell, she smiled and waited for him to get to
them as the Captain had asked of him.

Nine Lives
Brooke listened as the Captain made another announcement and
definitely wanted to make the most of the evening before they
returned to the normal day to day of being on a Starship. She
hoped that she would also get chance to catch up with him at
some point during the Celebration. Seeing everyone mingling and
talking was a welcome sight and turned towards her husband. "Why
don't we park the cart where everyone can access it, get
something to eat and enjoy ourselves".

Nine Lives
The bar had become increasingly crowded, as the crew had began
to get much more social. Jaden had begun to feel a bit
uncomfortable, as a social setting such as this was not in his
comfort zone. He much preferred the bridge of a starship to a
crowded bar. He found that being in the line of duty was the
true measure of who a person was. Drinking and reminiscing only
provided the opportunity for people to run their mouths.
Looking down at his bourbon, Jaden realized that he was getting
down to the last little bit of liquid in his glass. He brought
the glass up to his lips and threw the remainder of his drink
back. The bourbon burned a bit as it went down his throat, but
it was not too bad. Jaden then looked around the room and
noticed that the captain and the executive officer were standing
at the other end of the bar.
Putting the glass down on to the bar top, Jaden mumbled to
himself, "Well, no time like the present."
He then stood up from his seat and smoothed out the wrinkles
that had appeared on the front of his uniform. Making one last
quick look around the room, we began to walk down to were his
new command team were standing and approved them with a
noticeable amount of confidence, yet subtly enough to not
completely interrupt their conversation.
As the situation was a little less formal than reporting on the
bridge or the captain's ready room, Jaden did not feel the need
to make a formal report. He stood a little more straighter than
he normally would and said, "Excuse me, Captain? Lieutenant
Montgomery, sir. I believe I'm going to be your new Chief Flight
Control Officer."
