Josh gave her a puzzled look. "I'm not giving you anything
Droba, I'm sorry if you feel like i am. I promise you that I'm
not. So aside from the fast pace of the drill do you think this
crew can handle the pressure of real life issues.?"

" I agree then if we need to stay for the briefing it will be
good for us to report back to our Department Heads unless they
arrive and we're not needed " She replied as they walked across
the Bridge but before they reached the Briefing Room " We better
go in not holding hands " She whispered smiling at her husband
thinking of Protocol even with them being off duty.

"Ha!" She said wryly, "If you believe half the rumors on the
ship the Captain's sweet on his first mate, we've got more
shagging than Risa in the hu-mon breeding season going on with
the enlisted, a mouthy medical office, and a fresh crew who
doesn't know each other very well coming together on the tails
of a traumatic war. What do you think Ell-Tee? Do YOU think we
are ship-shape?"
She was a realist. All Ferengi were. Vulcans may be the masters
of logic but nothing speaks "real world know how" like a Ferengi
with some Latinum to earn.
"Best I can figure we are either going to slug it out, shag it
out, or get our brains blown out. That's where the latinum
lays."

"To be perfectly honest, i don't know. I would love to say yes,
but certain things are lacking. Nothing too major and they
could fix themselves in time as we serve together. I just hope
that it doesn't come to a slugfest. We don't have that many
detention cells." Josh said with a laugh behind it.

to her.

Briefing Room
Brooke was reluctant to let go of his hand but would make it up
to him later , she smiled at him before leading the way into the
Briefing Room and found that so far there was only two other
officers present one she recognised as Lieutenant Shepard. "
Ensign Brooke and Ensign Jacob Edwards reporting in, we were off
duty when the intruder alert was announced and thought to still
report even though the drill ended as we were already on our way
to the Bridge".

Droba listed one of her considerable eyebrow ridges,
"Oh! The bartenders! I do love bartenders. I'll take a Samarian
sunset." She said with a little wink,
"But seriously, congratulations both of you on both your recent
marriage and your promotion." She continued,
"Though I DO believe this is a meeting of the department heads
to discuss our performance... that is unless you are filling in
for Ell-Tee Sylok Brooke or if Josh here asked you to join us
Jacob." She said a little quizzically.
"But seriously... if you are here as bartenders... I'd kill a
man for a Samarian sunset." She whispered behind her hand to the
pair.

"It's fine Lt. Sylok is in sick bay, with andorian flu, and
since they was both is the turbo lift they're here now. They
can simply relay the report back to their superiors. Just
waiting on commander Garett. So how are you both adjusting to
your new positions.?"

Brooke didn't know what to say in order to respond to the
Ferengi Lieutenant at first and was grateful when Lieutenant
Shepard spoke and mentioned where the Chief was and that they
could stay. To be honest her and Jacob had been in a rush
wanting to respond to the alert and with the adrenaline she
hadn't had chance or thought to contact anyone higher up. "
Thank you Lieutenant and I'm sure the new manager of Nine Lives
will make just as mean a Samarian Sunset for you" She replied
with a smile looking at Droba before taking a seat. When
Lieutenant Shepard asked how they were adjusting to their new
positions Brooke looked over at her husband then back to the
Lieutenant " I'm enjoying being back in Science, it feels as
though I never reserved my commission".

Josh looked at Brooke and smiled. "That's good. I've read both
of your files. You both did outstanding work. Had you not gone
into the reserves you could be full Lieutenants. Well regardless
of that let's get started." He said looking at everyone. "What
did you think from the moment the intruder alert was announced.
Did you believe it could be real or simply a drill? Did you
notice any members of the crew lacking in speed to get to their
posts. You don't have to name people. And do you feel that
this crew is ready for combat if it comes to it?"
