Bridge
Josh returned from the armory after having tested out the
weapons. He and his brother always believed in being prepared
for anything. He noticed he was the only Lieutenant on the
bridge at the time of his arrival. He relieved the ensign on
duty. "Ensign Hayes status report." The young ensign spoke up.
"We are enroute to Cardassia IV, no injuries reported, no other
ships in the sector, ship systems are in the green. Josh
acknowledged the report and relieved him.
Josh walked towards the captains chair and sat down. He loved
how comfortable it is. He pulled up the ships schematics on the
panel on the chair. Everyone knew their orders so he didn't
want to give any other orders to conflict with the captains.

XO's Quarter's
Maria lowered her head and smiled to the ground when he
complimented her.
"You don't look too bad yourself." She said looking up at him.
"I've never had Caitian wine before..." She said taking the
bottle from him and placing it on the table. "I can't say Yoka
fruit is my favourite, so feel free to take them back to your
quarters." She said smiling at him again and then pulling out a
chair for him and saying "Please, sit down."while gesturing
towards the chair.

KnodwI entered the bridge just a minute behind his brother. He
moved over to the Tactical third station. He tapped the young
ensign on shoulder.
I relieve you Ensign
The young ensign turned and looked at the Klingon and reported
that nothing on sensors during the watch period. So KnodwI took
his post for his watch period. He had always been an armory
rat, but sometimes bridge duties had to be made. His brother
could see one of KnodwI's weapons attached to him, that was his
mek'leth. That was one weapon he always carried no matter the
situation. If it had to come to hand to hand combat, that is
his close quarters choice.

The idea of some drills was a good idea. Battle simulations
were one of the things they both did at home before the academy.
I am for it brother, the captain would be honored to see the
initiative, that we would do something like that. I know how
you are brother, by the book.
He started to think of some battle situations.

Josh chuckled a little. "One of us has to be brother." He said
as he patted his back twice. "You have the bridge Lieutenant
Shepard." Josh then walked to the captains ready room and once
the doors closed he tapped his communicator. =^=Lieutenant
Shepard to captain Dyson. Sir I'm sorry to disturb you, but
with your permission i would like to conduct an intruder alert
drill.=^= Josh waited for the captain to respond for either his
approval or denial.

He took the offered chair all the time looking at Maria as he
sat there, trying to work out just what he was feeling for her,
with some reservation he spoke once more. "Maria, there is
something on my mind, something we need to talk about, over this
last year I have come to see you as my friend, but lately I have
been getting the feeling that you are more than just a friend".
He closed his lips worried he had already said too much, He was
about to speak once more when the hail came in.

Josh got his answer from the captain, he was about to
acknowledge the hail, but the comm closed rather quickly. Josh
then walked out of the captains ready room back on to the
bridge. He walked up to his brother and looked at the tactical
panel and whispered. "Drill approved." Josh then walked back to
the captains chair and sat down. He flipped open and sent a
text to the tactical station. <Announce intruder alert in the
following areas. Transporter Room 1, Cargo Bay 1, Main shuttle
bay, engineering, and the bridge. > Josh then closed the panel
and waited for his brother to initiate the drill.

XO's Quarters.
Maria looked to B'Ozian and didn't know how to reply. The hail
from Mr Shepard had helped her in the matter of time thinking of
ways to respond.
After B'Ozian had finished talking to Shepard, she looked into
his eyes and asked "What's different in the way you feel? More
than a friend... Do you mean like... A sister or... Closer than
that?"
After a moment of thinking what to do, Maria looked to the
bottle of Caitian Wine B'Ozian had brought with him and opened
it. "You're right, I think a toast will be needed." She said as
with a little giggle as she poured some into the two glasses on
the table.
Truth be told, Maria also had feelings for B'Ozian she didn't
understand, but it was one thing she had previously been too shy
to talk to him about.
