"I promise I will not take any unnecessary risks Maria" He
stared back into her eyes so she could see he wasn't lying to
her, Truth be know apart from Brooke in the bar she was the only
person he really spoke to and the only one he told everything
to, well not everything as one thing he was keeping from her for
fear of losing her friendship.
He had seen the way the humans were around each other when they
crossed the line and their friendship changed either for the
good or in most cases the worse. "And then there is this" he
picked up a PADD "Brooke and Jacob have bee reactivated,
following the war they have both had their reserve clauses
activated".
Looking at Maria B'Ozian fouht hard not to just reach his face
forward and run his nose up her cheek.

Ready Room
Maria watched the way B'Ozian was looking at her and then asked
"What is it? What are you hiding from me sweety? I can take it
whatever 'it' is."
Looking into his eyes, she let him know that she wasn't lying
and was prepared for whatever it was. She felt strongly about
him and was willing to loose their friendship as long as it
would make him happy.
Before he had time to reply she added, "Please B'Ozian, you can
trust me with anything. Come to my quarters an hour after we
turn in for the night and tell me then. We will have a drink and
a meal and talk about it... It's not a question." Se finished
with a little smile to him, because she had given him an order
for a change... Of course he didn't have to listen to her
because he was in charge, but she hoped he'd listen and agree to
talk to her later on.

"Hello Ensign," Rebecca stopped, cup of coffee in hand, "Can I
help you?" She'd been half way to her office, but she wasn't
going to ignore someone when they walked in. Her day had been a
little slower than usual and a conversation would be a welcome
distraction from her office.

Brooke looked up as the Doctor approached and greeted her "
Hello Doctor and yes I'm here for a pregnancy checkup " She
replied " I was advised by the base doctor to have regular
checkups just to make sure everything runs smoothly".

" Six weeks and thankyou" She replied walking over to the
indicated bio bed and sat down on it.

The Captain had handed over the ship to the relief crew for the
next 12 hours and had left orders for him to be hailed when they
arrived at Cardassia IV at that time.
Orders had also been given for situation reports from all
departments to be on his desk in the morning along with the
names of anyone who volunteered for the away team.
He had again suggested to the crew that they get to know one
another off duty as well as on, Nine lives was still open even
if under new management and he encouraged people to use it, one
thing he had found during the war was everybody needed at least
one friend they knew would be there for them. It was also the
reason he had decided to take Maria up on her offer to cook and
find out just what she had on her mind and again it would also
let him talk to his friend and the crew to bond without the Co
and Xo around.
Deck Two - XO's Quarters
The short walk from his quarters to Maria's had taken a mere few
seconds but as he stood there outside her door he felt as if
time was standing still after he pressed the access chime.

XO's Quarter's.
Maria had just changed into something a little more comfortable
when the door chime sounded.
Walking to the door, she pressing the button on the wall to let
him in.
"Hi, come in." She said to B'Ozian with a smile. She saw a
slight look of nerves on his face, but didn't mention them,
before continuing, "I know that most Caitian's are vegetarians,
like myself, so I get it later..." She paused for a minute and
noticed herself in the mirror. "I thought I might wear something
nice for a change." She said to him then giggling, as she
usually wore either her uniform or a t-shirt and jeans.

Deck 7 - The Edwards Quarters
Brooke stepped through the doors of her and Jacob's quarters to
find that she was the first one back, her checkup had gone well
and after a successful and enjoyable first shift in the
Astrometrics Lab it was good to be home. She certainly had some
things to think about with regards to work and her pregnancy but
that was something she could discuss with her husband but she
was determined not for it to get in the way of her duty. She
also hadn't forgotten that she was going to cook tonight but for
now she headed into the bedroom to get changed out of her
uniform before getting organised.

He bowed his head slightly as he stepped into the room and
looked at Maria, he could feel his heart pounding in his chest
as he tried to arrange the words in his mind. "You look stunning
Maria, that colour suits you".
He pulled his hand up from his side and displayed a bottle to
her "Caitian wine, I don't really drink but i thought tonight
maybe a toast would be appropriate". He looked again at her and
smiled his best attempt and walked to the table "Picking up some
fruit "I am impresssed you managed to find yoka fruit my
favourite" He lifted the fruit to his mouth biting into it as
the juices filled his mouth. He too had changed from his uniform
into his normal off duty clothes.
