Jacob smiled and kissed her back. He looked at her in her new
uniform and smiled. "You look nice in your uniform too." He said
to her.

"Thank you although I'm going to need a maternity one soon" She
replied smiling back at him before checking her appearance one
final time in the mirror then turned to her husband again "
Right I'm ready as I'll ever be, I'll let you know how it goes
with the checkup and how about I cook for us after our shifts"
She said taking hold of his hand.

Jacob nodded to her when she mentioned she was gonna get a
maternity uniform when her belly gets bigger. When she offered
to cook for them both after their shifts, he replied "OK. If
you're OK with that, I won't mind at all." He smiled while
holding her hand.

" I don't and you always spoil me so its my turn to spoil you"
She replied smiling at him before leading the way out of their
quarters and into the corridor, it did still feel a little
strange that they wouldn't be together as they had done with the
Lounge but she was looking forward to getting back to what she
had trained for and besides this way they would have more to
talk about at the end of the day and still be them.

Turbolift
Once they were inside the Turbolift, Brooke called out " Deck
12" and the lift soon whirred to life. She turned to her husband
" Any ideas on what you would like later or do you want me to
surprise you?" She asked grinning at him.

Brooke reacted to his kiss before replying " A surprise it is
then" She said smiling back before the lift announced that they
had arrived at Deck 12. She quickly placed her arms around him "
I'll see you later have a good first shift in Engineering" She
said to him kissing him again as the lift doors opened then let
go and exited the lift.

Deck 12
Brooke watched with a smile on her face as the lift doors closed
taking her husband down to Engineering. It would take a little
adjustment not being together all of the time but knew they
would be fine and it would be good for the both of them. Turning
away from the lift she walked along the corridor towards Sickbay
eager to make sure that everything was okay with the baby before
starting her own shift.
Sickbay
Walking through the doors to Sickbay, Brooke stopped for a
moment and looked around not sure whether to call out or wait
for someone to appear. She also didn't want to interrupt if busy
so decided to wait for a little while.
