Hunter's Cabin
"Find out if corners are being cut, get in contact with you
using an isolinear chip. The way I see this as just create a
report of accounts that I see during the mission and report to
you after. Seems easy, too easy." Kira paused and leant forward
towards the admiral. 2 things came into Kira's mind. The first
point was what she would gain. "What's in it for me?" Kira
paused. 'And I need to protect myself at all costs.' Kira
thought to herself, returning the smile to the admiral and then
continuing. "And immunity. Do I have immunity?" Kira finally
asked.

"That is basically what I want you to do Lieutenant, yes."
Hunter replied to the young woman. "As for the easiness side of
it, only you can answer that one. A confused expression crossed
the Admiral's face, when she asked what was in it for her. Up
until that moment she'd seemed smart, hadn't he been obvious in
his opening comments. "You will back on your way to being a
line officer Lieutenant, I thought that was made clear?"
Hunter nearly choke on his beverage, when Kira asked about
immunity, he placed the cup back down and wiped his mouth.
"Immunity from what exactly? You will simply be acting under
the orders of a Flag officer and you will be acting in the best
interests of Starfleet and Federation security." Bill sat back
the interlocked his fingers. "I'll tell you what Lieutenant,
you do me a good job and I will see to it that your name is
pushed forward for the next Lieutenant Commander vacancy in the
eighth!"

Hunter's Cabin
Kira leant back into the chair and looked up at the roof of the
room for a few moments. She quickly thought over it and then
looked back down at the admiral. She smiled and nodded. "Ok, I'm
in." Kira paused for a moment, thinking about when he first
signed up and then decided to talk to the admiral about it. "You
know, admiral. When I signed up to join Starfleet, I sure as
hell didn't expect to be in a situation like this but here I am.
Hell, I didn't expect to be involved in a war. I guess not
everything is rainbows and butterflies. I set myself a goal when
I signed up to Starfleet; I wanted to become a vice admiral in a
fleet and if this helps me achieve that, I'm not going to be the
one to destroy my own goal."
"I'll do this for you know but at some point I want you to tell
me more about yourself. I like to know the people I work for."
Kira finished.

She was in, the reports of her ambition were not false and
Hunter was pleased to see it. She then went on to talk about
how the Fleet wasn't quite what she thought, the situation she
was in and the war that had recently ended. He found himself
nodding as she spoke, at least she'd had the benefit of her eyes
being opened while so young. She then talked about her ambition
of becoming a Vice Admiral one day and that she wasn't about to
lose sight of that goal.
"I'm very pleased to hear that Lieutenant, ambition and goals
are good." He held up his right index finger. "But be careful,
ambitious people can at times find friendships none
sustainable." He sat back and gave a half smile, when Kira
talked of wanting to know more about him. "I see, well not many
people have ever wanted to know about me." He looked to one
side and gave a half smile. "I'll tell you what, when you
return." His attention moved back to the Lieutenant. "We will
have a meal and I will tell you all about my life and career.
If there is nothing else, give this to Captain Shepard." He
said handing a smaller padd to Kira. "Your orders to report as
the Chief Conn Officer!"

Hunter's Cabin
Kira nodded at Hunter in acknowledgement and then raised from
the seat. "Losing friends? If people had problems with me
because I became an admiral, how could I consider them a friend
anyway?" Kira smiled at the man before backing towards the door.
"I'm expecting somewhere fancy for the restaurant then, don't
disappoint me! Keep in touch." With that, Kira left the cabin
and made her way towards the station bar.

William raised his right eyebrow at the Lieutenant, she
certainly wasn't afraid to speak her mind and tell someone what
she wants. Yes he liked that in an officer, especially one he
had a vested interest in. If Kira could do what he'd asked her,
then he would do all he could for her to progress in the future.
There was a selection of eating establishments opening on the
promenade, though he would have to find out which would be the
best.
"I look forward to it Lieutenant, stay safe out there!" He said
in way of farewell.
