necessary. A detection grid would need the use of several
ships, like I said we need to keep this as low key as possible!"
He looked towards Patrick. "The more people we send in there,
the more we chance we have of panic breaking out!" He cleared
his throat. "I was under the impression that the Valor crew
were among the best, I'm beginning to wonder if I should look
elsewhere." His eyes cast back to the Captain. "There are
three other ships on route, they will stay in the neighbouring
sector and will assist you in an emergency situation only."

Josh fought the urge to attack the admiral just as the admiral
has been attacking him. "Sir what i said was have there been
anything sent in there before this meeting. Meaning i know we
haven't gone in there with any ships but have we been monitoring
the border?"

"My apologies Captain, I thought I was plain in my speech."
Bill began. "In short no there has not, only ships have gone in
that sector and none have sent a distress signal or been heard
of again." The Admiral replied.
His attention moved to the nearest padd on the table, it beeped
as a message came in from Ops. It was the information from
Kelowitz, it'd taken longer than expected, but it was as it was.
The crew compliment was slightly in disarray and would be fixed
by him before the Valor departed. "I note a few issues with
your roster Captain, however as of this moment, your ship is
under my command and you will report directly to me." His
attention moved to Patrick. "Of course I will keep you updated
with all pertinent information Admiral." His attention moved
back to Josh and the two other officers. "I'm assigning you a
new Chief Science Officer, Lieutenant River Bellgrave. She's
absolutely top notch and will be an asset to your crew." His
eyes dropped to the padd again. "I think a reshuffle of your
medical department might be in order, as well as Flight control.
We are a little short in that department, I see you have a
newly minted Ensign joining your ship here." He looked back at
Josh. "Should prove an educational first voyage, I have some
officers in mind for the Chief position and will let you know in
due course!"

John listen to the exchange between Josh and the Admiral he kept
looking between him and Patrick allowing his brain to make up
it's mind one thing for sure there was something about this
Admiral that was familiar in a bad way

Patrick looked over at William with a cold stare he was slient
mostly in the meeting with his hands tied there wasn't much he
could do.
"Of Course Admiral as Expected You Will do your Duty; And I am
sure the Captian Knows the Chain of Command!" Finished Brown
coldly

"I would appreciate that sir. I've been requesting additional
positions for the ship for months now. I get them then they get
reassigned with no replacements. So i thank you for that
Admiral."

Josh looked at Admiral Brown after he said his piece. He
adjusted his tunic. "Sir I'm no stranger to the concept of the
chain of command. It's not only a practice I teach on the Valor
but one I follow."

William observed the stares of the two brothers, firstly John
who was trying to figure out who he was. He chuckled inside at
the thought of the Commander not remembering him, but it wasn't
entirely a bad thing for him not to remember. Patrick on the
other hand looked annoyed, again there was some gratification in
that for Hunter. Patricks hands were well and truly tied and
Bill had the power in the situation.
Shepard thanked the Admiral for the assignments, to which Hunter
gave a single nod. "Mmm the problem is fleet wide Captain,
though if a little more effort was placed, then it wouldn't be
so difficult." He chuckled. "You should watch out for Miss
Bellgrave, she's something of a star...a real high flyer and you
could yourself reporting to her as your new boss before you know
it." It was salt in the wound and Hunter knew, but he really
didn't give two hoots about it. As far as he was concerned
Shepard was a lose cannon, something of a cowboy. The man would
have to work hard to change that opinion.

Josh leaned back in his chair some and smiled. "I gladly welcome
the finest officers in starfleet. I've seen people get promoted
a head of me some deserve it while others got it by stepping on
other people's backs and doing some serious brown nosing, but we
shall see how she performs then and only then I can form my own
opinions about her or anyone."
Josh was then thinking of how he was gonna take the Valor in
there. maybe mask our warp signature. Josh thought to himself.

Hunter gave the Captain a wolf like grin, he didn't impress him
in the slightest. "You will find no faults with her Captain,
everything she accomplished has been through her own merit." He
raised his right index finger of warning. "And if I find she
has been treated any differently, to how you treat the rest of
your crew, I will be asking for an explanation that damn well
better have answers." He looked to Patrick and added. "I think
that concludes the meeting, I would like the Valor to be under
way within twenty four hours." His attention moved to the
Captain and Commanders. "Until then I think you should offer
off duty personnel some free time, on this fantastic new
facility we have...dismissed."
Bill stood up and nodded to Patrick. "If you will excuse me, I
will retire to my quarters." After which he moved briskly to
the door.

Josh stood up and watched as Admiral Hunter leave. He watched
him intensely. Once the doors closed he looked over at Patrick
and walked towards him. "Sir if it's possible I would like to
have a word with you in private."
