commanding officer of the Valor or even the Atlantis this is the
first and only time a situation has happened. I instructed
Commander Harriman to interview of members of the crew and then
question the two involved after the meeting. He is using members
of his detail due to the fact that the mess hall was full at the
time. I received orders to return here right before this
happened and we was two hours away at the time. Right before i
left he was in the middle of an interview and speaking as a
former security officer I've leaned that you never leave in the
middle of an investigation and come back later. Be cause you run
the risk of receiving things that might not have happened or
other members of the crew might try to say cover for this
person. I'm not saying that would happen but it could. When i
was a first officer serving in the Falcon we had an incident and
i was told to let it go by Captain Andrew's. I refused because
fighting among crewmembers is something i do not nor will i ever
tolerate."

Hunter continued to drum his fingers on the table, he shot
Patrick a quick glance and then observed John Brown had said no
to such previous occurrences. "Well clearly there is a problem
with discipline now Commander Brown and I would strongly suggest
it gets nipped in the bud." He looked towards Shepard after and
was not convinced in the slightest. "Sounds to me like a mouth
full of excuses Captain, my orders were to have yourself,
Commander Brown AND Lieutenant Commander Harriman at this
meeting! That order was not and I repeat not open to
interpretation!" He took a deep breath and continued to drum
his fingers. "Need I remind you Captain, that this is the
twenty fourth century? By that we have security recordings,
internal sensors, a whole lot of equipment that could assist in
such an investigation." He cleared his throat before
continuing. "So there is nothing that can be overlooked." His
attention turned to Admiral Brown. "I would suggest we download
the Valor's security logs and recordings." He looked back at
the two other officers. "We can then look at what happened
ourselves and come to our own conclusions."

Josh wanted to chuckle with the threats that was being made to
him. He simply collected his thoughts and spoke in a calm tone
of voice. "Computer establish a data link to the USS Valor,
transfer security files and image recordings on this date two
hours and fifteen minutes ago."
The computer chimes back. "Video images downloading, unable to
transfer files." Josh looked stunned for a moment. "Explain."
Josh said. "Those files are not in the ships database." Josh
then looked at the Admiral he must still be in the mess hall and
unable to have put them into record as of yet."

Hunter stopped his drumming and pressed his fingertips together
and observed the Captain, again his expression was plain and
unreadable. Is Commander Harriman inefficient in his duties He
was forced to ask himself. Or is there more to this than has
been let on?
"Just download everything Captain and send updates every twelve
hours until further notice." Hunter replied. "Needless to say
I am not happy, about my priority one orders being obeyed to the
letter." The bridge of Bill's nose creased at that point,
showing the anger in him briefly. "And as for your time tabled
mission from the council, that is now secondary, I am acting on
the authority of the President." Hunter stood up and walked to
a wall monitor. "This meeting is classified, whatever is
discussed in this room will stay in it, if you divulge anything
from this meeting to your crew, I will personally see to it that
you are stripped of rank." There was no joviality in his voice,
he turned to the monitor and activated it.
The monitor showed a partial overlay to an area of space, not
too far from the Briar Patch. "Tell me." He said turning from
the screen. "Have any of you heard of the Bai'Zalix sector?"

"Transporter room 3." The turbo lift starts moving. Moments pass

John had fiially finished the interviews and was now logging on
to view the security tapes when the Captain cotacted him and
told him to report to the Conference Room on the Starbase As he
was about to the computer showed that there were no videos to be
found . He began to check all the syetsms and still cound not
find the videos. John used every command he knew to use and
still cound not find where the videos were or what happened to
them. He realized that he was now late for the meeting and that
he would have time when he returned to go to the Mess Hall in
person with the CEO and figureout what happened. He then called
for the Transportor Room to transport him to the Starbase
Transportor Room from where he was.
[Starbase 410 Transportor Room]
John stepped off the padd and headed for the Conference Room
feeling like an idiot for being late but still confused about
the disappearence of the video from the Mess Hall.
[Outside the Conference Room]
John arrived and stood outside the door knowing he was late
hated to walk in but know that as a Lieutenant Commander he had
to fae the fire with boldness. He then straightened his tunic
and hopped that the agrevation he felt could not be seen and
walked in.
[Conference Room]
John entered and stoped seeing they had started,He then looked
at the command officer and spoke. "Lieutenat Commander Harriman
reporting as ordered Sir." he said as he stood and waited for a
reply.

Josh looked at the screen. "I've heard of it, but was told until
further notice mo Federation starships would be permitted to

As Bill awaited an answer to his question, the doors at the
opposite end of the room parted and another officer entered.
Judging by the rank insignia on his collar, he was either
Harriman or some fool who was lost. However he promptly
identified himself as the former. Apparently he'd finished his
investigation and in decent time too, perhaps he was one of the
few officers on the Valor who knew their jobs well. "Please
have a seat Mr Harriman." He said gesturing to the table and
vacant chair.
At about the same time Josh answered in the affirmative about
the Bai'Zalix sector. Hunter turned towards the man and gave a
slight inclination of his head. Perhaps you are not as useless
as I thought, we'll see! He thought to himself, before
speaking. "Correct Captain, that was the order from Starfleet
operations as of two months ago." Hunter turned back to the
screen and pointed out distance between the Briar Patch and the
other sector. "As you can see it's not too distant from our
current position, Starbase four one zero is the closest base and
we have the responsibility of maintaining control on who enters.
Obviously we have no jurisdiction over none aligned vessels."
There was a pause as the Admiral returned to his chair and sat
down to face them all. "What you are not aware of, is the why
we're not allowed in there. The following stays in this room,
as I said before! Over the last three years nine ships have
disappeared, two of which were after the Dominion War." He
stopped again and allowed everyone to soak in the information.
"The previous seven have been over shadowed by the war and
therefore not generally noticed and that's how we want to keep
it. The last thing we want.." He eyed each of the three junior
officers in turn. "Is a panic and above all the fear of another
war we could not possibly win. I don't need to tell any of you,
that the fleet is on its ass and rebuilding is going to take
years, maybe even decades." He took another breath and
continued. "Ok here's why I called for the Valor, you are going
to the Bai'Zalix sector and you will investigate the
disappearances. We need answers to these mysteries, a general
consensus is there is some kind of Tholian plot." Bill shrugged
his shoulders. "However you are to keep an open mind, questions
so far?"

Josh looked around the room. "Sir with the disappearance of the
ships did we ever send any probes to not only detect the missing
vessels but to try to identify any detection grids or any
defensive turrets they may have set up? If not into the sector
but on the border to conduct long range scans?"

"Captain, you are free to use whatever methods are deemed
necessary. A detection grid would need the use of several
ships, like I said we need to keep this as low key as possible!"
He looked towards Patrick. "The more people we send in there,
the more we chance we have of panic breaking out!" He cleared
his throat. "I was under the impression that the Valor crew
were among the best, I'm beginning to wonder if I should look
elsewhere." His eyes cast back to the Captain. "There are
three other ships on route, they will stay in the neighbouring
sector and will assist you in an emergency situation only."
