Back to Paradise - (The Edwards)

Deck 2 - The Edwards Quarters
Brooke was trying to deal with an unsettled baby and pack at the
same time for her and Jacob's anniversary trip although was
unsure as to what to actually take with her as she still didn't
know what he had planned on the holodeck. Plus she also had to
make sure she had enough stuff for Caia Mae after they had
decided to take her with them but after a few more minutes of
her crying she decided to put the packing on hold and gently
lifted her daughter from her crib. Rocking her gently on her
shoulder, Brooke walked around the bedroom hoping she would
settle but at the same time enjoyed this moment with her little
girl with it just being the two of them until Jacob returned
from Engineering.
She was looking forward to their trip as not only would they be
celebrating their wedding anniversary but it would also be their
first family holiday and the holodeck was the ideal place until
they could experience the real thing but this made up for not
being able to leave the ship. She was also dealing with morning
sickness however unlike her first pregnancy this wasn't as bad
or frequent and so far still hadn't been to Sickbay or informed
the others but perhaps that was something she would do once they
returned from this trip. But for now she was going to enjoy
every moment of being away from her duties and spending time
with her husband and daughter.

Jacob exited a lift after his shift ended in Engineering. Now he
can head to his quarters, get packing and he, Brooke and Caia
Mae van head to the Holodeck so the couple can celebrate their
anniversary together. The two ladies are gonna he in for a
surprise when Brooke sees the changes he made in his program.
Especially for their daughter.

Jacob entered the quarters and smiled. "Honey, I'm home." He
called out.

Brooke smiled as she heard the doors to their quarters open
followed by her husbands voice as he called out to her. With
Caia Mae settled on her shoulder she walked out of the bedroom
and into the main living area. " Hey babe , its good to have you
home , I haven't managed to pack much yet with little miss being
a bit fussy but she seems to be settled for now " she said going
over to him. Now he was home, she knew she would be able to get
a little more done so they can be prepared for their trip.

Jacob smiled and looked at Caia Mae and raised an eyebrow when
Brooke spoke about her. "Really?" He said. He gently grabbed
their daughter off her shoulder and held her. He then spoke to
her "You go ahead and pack. When you're done, I'll pack." He
gently bounces Caia Mae and smiles holding her.

" Yes I've got a feeling that she's starting to get teeth that's
the only thing I can think of so we might have the odd restless
night with her " she replied as Jacob took their daughter from
her. She smiled seeing her husband soothe her and turned to go
back to the bedroom " Okay and I'll pack for you since I'm doing
ours whilst you check her diaper then she'll be due a feed
before we go " she said mentally checking off what the three of
them would need for the trip but at the same time they could
always replicate anything that was missing.

Teething. That may explain Caia Mae when she got fussy few days
back. She is growing up and growing quick. Time flies indeed.

Leaving her husband to deal with their daughter she went back
into the bedroom and pulled out clothes for all three of them
from the closet and drawers. Once sorted into piles she placed
them in the suitcases she had already gotten out earlier and
packed it all. When she was finished she changed into a loose
fitting long dress so she could feed Caia easily then went back
out to them both. " All sorted and once your done I'll feed her"
she said walking over to the changing area.

Jacob smiled when he finished changing Caia Mae's dirty diaper
into a clean one. He then picked her up and held her on his
shoulder. He turned around seeing his wife in a dress. He smiled
and walked to her handing Caia Mae to Brooke. "She has a clean
diaper now." He said to her. "I'm gonna go get changed and when
I get back and you finish, we'll head out."
Jacob walked into the bedroom to get out of his uniform and into
casual clothes so he and the family can head to the Holodeck to
celebrate their anniversary.

" Okay and sounds good to me " Brooke replied smiling back as
she took Caia Mae from her husband then walked over to the old
fashioned rocking chair that she had replicated when her
daughter was born. It was an exact replicator of one in her
grandmothers house and found it relaxing to sit in when feeding
their little girl. She sat down carefully and moved Caia from
her shoulder into the right position then adjusted her dress and
began feeding her. She didn't get to do this as often as she
liked because of her job but they made it work as best as they
could and sat back feeling content as their daughter continued
to feed.

Jacob got into a pair of jeans and a shirt and slipped on a pair
of boots to finish getting into his normal clothes. He sat up
from the bed and walked out of the room and made to the living
room. "Ready dear." He called out to Brooke.
