His reassuring smile and words did help alleviate some of the
tension and worry that she was feeling at that moment and gently
leaned over to kiss him firmly before getting back up from the
bed. " Your right we will get through this and it will remain
our secret unless something happens where I need to inform the
Captain before we intended too, however plenty of time for that
and when I finish this shift what would you like to do ?" she
said thinking that they could chill out have food and just spend
some time together before duty called again.

Jacob kissed Brooke back on the cheek and sat next to her. As
for their plans later, Jacob had some ideas but he had one for
her and for Caia Mae. He then said "I was thinking a nice candle
light dinner in the comforts of our quarters. Or maybe if we
find a sitter, we can have that kind of dinner at the Holodeck."

Brooke closed her eyes briefly at his touch before smiling at
his suggestion as to what they could do later when she finished
her shift " Either sounds good to me babe but yes if our normal
sitter is free then the holodeck it is " she replied not wanting
to leave them both but she had something to look forward too
when she returned home. Reluctantly she got ready then looked at
her husband again " I'll be back in a few hours then we can have
that time together " she said reaching over to kiss him some
more.

Josh and John was sitting in the conference room. He tapped his
comm badge. =^= Commander Harriman, what is the ETA of the
Essex?=^= Josh waited for an answer. He didn't like sitting in
one place for too long. Especially when it comes to meeting with
an Admiral. Even though they are old friends this was not going
to be a social call.

come into Transporter range. I am awaitting the Admiral's

knew that the Tholian ship from their little tussle could be

to relax a little before the meeting.

Counselor's Office
Charlotte couldn't settle or focus properly with the idea of
seeing Patrick again making her feel well she didn't know what
to feel and not even trying to distract herself was helping. She
wished that there was a way for her to just stop feeling
anything or that she could at least hide away until he left but
despite thinking these things knew it wasn't going to be that
easy and that he would no doubt make sure he saw her as soon as
he was finished with whatever he was here for. After taking a
few deep breaths she got up from her desk and walked over to the
replicator and selected a yorkshire tea and a slice of her
favorite chocolate cake hoping that would at least cheer her up
slightly and taking the small tray she placed it on the table
then sat down on her small sofa rather than go back to the desk
and attempted to relax.

Jacob gave Brooke another kiss on the cheek and smiled. "Don't
work too hard." He said with a chuckle. He got out of his
uniform and relaxed on the bed and looked over seeing Caia Mae
napping away in her crib. He smiled as he also dozed off in a
nap of his own.

John sat in the command chair and watched the Essex as he got
the news about the Admial and two others beaming over. He bapped
the com to tell the Captain.
