Jacob's eyes widened when Brooke gave the news about her
possibly being pregnant again. This was surprising to hear. He
understood why she didn't want to check immediately. She wanted
it to be a secret between the two and perhaps a surprise to the
crew. They will wait till she showed a little more in a couple
months.
"OK. It'll be between us." He replied quietly. He looked at Caia
Mae and kissed her cheek. "Hey sweetie. You might be a big
sister." He gently bounced hee up and down.

"That's great babe plus it will give us time to adjust and plan
what we're going to do" she replied smiling as he spoke to their
daughter before sitting down on the bed. She hoped that the
sickness wouldn't be as bad as it had during her first pregnancy
and that they could keep it secret until the time was right to
tell everyone as the more she thought about it the more sure she
was that she was pregnant. Yes it they had wanted a large family
but this was still a bit of a shock however knew it would be
okay once it sunk in properly.

Nursery
After dropping the family off with their minder, B'Ozian picked
up his light kit bag and leaned over kissing Maria and then all
the children before turning to her again. "I will meet you in
the transporter room, when you have sorted things here". He
grinned and then left for the meeting with the Admiral.
Transporter Room
As he walked in to the transporter room he saw Brown waiting for
them "Admiral, Doctor Dyson will join us presently" he announced
as he walked in noticing the two Padds in the Admiral's hand,
but saying nothing as he had come to know the look on Brown's
face and knew the Admiral was not looking forward to something
or knowing who was XO on the Valor someone.

Jacob held Caia Mae and smiled at Brooke. "Definitely. If you
are, I can't wait for Caia Mae to have her first sibling." He

Edwards Quarters
Brooke looked at them both again and continued to smile as their
daughter fell asleep on her fathers shoulder " Why don't you put
her in her crib then we can talk a little more as I get ready "
she replied quietly " But I do know what you mean I just didn't
expect it to happen so quickly that's all but lets wait and see
what happens " she said wondering how it was all going to work
out as she was finding it hard to leave Caia whilst she was on
duty and the thought of having two young children well they
would just have to sort everything and make it work like they
always did. But for now she had to get ready and even though she
wished she could stay there with them hoped it would be a
straightforward shift so she could get back on time.

Lieutenant Shepard." Cormoran thought, he been wanting to talk
to the man for awhile now about his idea. But to do that he
need to talk to Davis, and Cormoran was sure how to approach
him. Davis might not have like the idea of Cormoran
interdepartmental. But now he was the department head, he could
do as he liked par say.
"Commander, do you have any objection with me meeting up with
Lieutenant Shephard, to escort the Admiral?

"Thank you, commander." Cormoran said as he stood up. A
crewman instantly took his place, and Cormoran headed for the
transporter room. A minute later Cormoran stood in front of
the doors waiting for the lieutenant. He hoped the man would
listen to his request, and not turn him down out right. The
more he thought about it, the more he realized how selfish it
was. But you got no where without asking. So Cormoran waited.
"I should of asked what he looked like."

"Neither did I." Jacob replied to Brooke. "I figured at least
another year you would be pregnant. But it's OK. We'll get
through this." He gave her a reassuring smile.
