Charlotte looked over at Patrick her arm and leg still wrapped
around him as they laid together on the sofa and couldn't help
but just take in every detail knowing that this could be the
last time that she saw him. Well the last time she saw him like
this as from now on it would only be the odd greeting if they
ever crossed paths again but one thing was for certain and that
was she didn't want any awkwardness or regret when they did. But
that hadn't happened yet and wanted to enjoy these last few
minutes together after saying such an emotional and physical
goodbye. She was glad that they had and leaned in a little
closer taking in the warmth of her body against his.

       Re: A Leap Of Faith
   DIR By: Kira Wyman
       Date: April 3, 2017, 5:54 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       5 months ago...
       Wyman estate, Scotland
Kira looked around at the barren land which was all about dead,
she frowned slightly when she looked at the house and stopped
for a moment before she decided to actually go into the house.
'They always have been liabilities at some point.' Kira thought
to herself, recounting times when they were actually happy. What
annoyed her more was the fact that she had to give up her post
       to sort this all out.
She was glad that the journey was a little less boring then they
usually were though. She looked over to her friend, a lawyer who
she'd met at school before he went to university. "Thanks for
helping me sort this out." She smiled at the man in black, who
turned around and smiled back at her. "I wouldn't be here if I
didn't want to help out and after all, I wanted to know where
this came from." the man said, pointing at her and grinning to
       himself.
Kira walked up to the door of the house, knocked it a couple of
times and then stood back, waiting for her mother to answer the
       door.
"Kira!" Her mother pulled her into a hug and Kira gently pulled
herself out of it, stepping back and beginning. "As soon as the
divorce is settled, I want you both off the farm." She paused
for a moment and continued. "If you two can't take care of it
anymore, I will." Her mother nodded, leading Kira and Kurtis
into the house and not saying another word.
       Several hours later...
After hours of settling who gets what, Kira turned away from the
window she was looking out of and sighed with relief. "We're
done? Good." Kira walked away from the window and back into the
centre of the room, she looked down at her parents. "If you want
to contact me, you know how to. It better be important though."
Her parents raised from their seats and saw themselves out of
the house. Kira sat down opposite Kurtis. "We're sat in the
house that I grew up in, and I feel like this place never
belonged to me." She paused for a moment then continued. "My
aunt has agreed to oversee the farm, i have a bunch of money
left in an account and I'm going to use it to regenerate the
farms, I'm sure in the long run it'll be worth it and after all,
I want to return it to its former glory."
"Well if you need anything let me know, I have a few
connections. Where are you headed now?" Kira smiled at Kurtis
and nodded in acknowledgement. "Thank you Kurt, I've been
assigned to the academy in San Francisco, I am teaching OPS for
a while, it's better than nothing I guess."
       3 months later...
       Earth Spacedock
Kira looked up at the clock which was carefully placed onto the
wall and then looked down at the class in front of her. She
smiled and then pointed towards the door. "The lesson is over,
you may leave." With that, everyone carefully fed out of the
room until Kira was sat by herself in a room. She was glad to
get some silence, she had found she'd not had very much alone
       time since she'd started teaching.
As Kira was marking some work which had recently been handed in,
she looked up at the door and noticed a rear admiral about to
come into the room, she looked back down, pretending as though
she didn't notice him and continued. The man knocked and then
opened the door, he walked into the room and then stopped in
front of her. Kira looked up and smiled at the man. "Admiral, I
never noticed you enter, how may I help you."
The admiral smiled at Kira and pulled a chair up opposite the
desk, he sat down and shook his head in dismissal. "Not at all,
I have a proposition for you actually, a potential new
assignment of sorts; how would you feel if I offered you the
position of JAG after finishing the short course in the
academy?" The admiral smiled at Kira and leaned back, waiting to
hear her reply. "Well admiral, it definitely sounds different,
I'm definitely going this consideration, I always wanted to get
       involved with law."
"Well now's your chance, there's no catch. You merely have to
finish the course." Kira paused for a moment, quickly summing up
everything in her head and smiled. "I'm in, I never thought I'd
be going into the academy again." Kira shook the admirals hand
and they exchanged a few more words before Kira stood up and
       exited the office.
       Present Day,
       Bridge
Kira had spent 3 months teaching and learning law and she'd
finally graduated and had been given an assignment, the rank
reduction was a small price to pay to actually get onto a ship.
She was surprised when she got put onto a ship but the admiral
assured her she'd been placed where she'd be used most
effectively. She was aware of the consequences of being JAG; no
away missions and no bridge command. She couldn't lie, it was
nice to not worry about anything like that for once. She tugged
at her collar slightly as she made her way onto the bridge and
       stopped before Josh.
"Captain... It has been a while." Kira smiled at Joshua who she
knew well from her previous time in the fleet. "I've been
assigned as the ship JAG, I'm not really sure why I'm needed on
a ship. I was hoping you might to be able to shed some light on
       that." Kira finished.

       [Bridge]
John nodded to Kira as she entered but was as confused as she
was as to why they had a JAG officer on the Valor. John know the
law better then anyone on the ship not only from his time in
security but aslo from his time at Harvard. John looked forward
to talking with a fell lawyer again.

       Bridge
Kira smiled at the captain as he spoke and replied shortly
after. "Left for other things? I did. And then when I asked for
assignment they stuck me in the academy teaching." Kira nodded
at Joshua and followed him into the ready room, closing the door
       afterwards.
       Ready Room
Kira sat down opposite Joshua at the desk and smiled. "While I
was teaching, I was approached by an admiral. The admiral asked
me if I was interested in reassignment after finishing a short
course of training, I wanted out of the academy so I said yes
and a couple of months later, here I am. I left to sort out my
parents divorce and the farm, they're in good hands now. And I
took ownership of the farm." Kira finished, leaning back
into the chair and sighing slightly. She couldn't help but be
happy that she was back on a ship away from everything. The lack
of communication was good for her. She was finally glad to be
       away from it all.
