Josh chuckled. "Yes what about it lieutenant? Let me guess.
You're trying to figure out why you've been promoted way a head
of the regular time frame. That's simple, on board a starship
the captain can choose his own promotions. It can be to either
fill a certain position, or based on their work. So in
combination of the two i selected you. The other flight officer
was nominated but failed to meet the expectations, and to add in
another point. We have this thing called field commissions. Take
which ever way you recieved your new rank but the fact of the
matter is this. You can keep it or reject it. Either way it
won't be reflect badly on you. You've earned this."

Cormoran blinked. Then he blinked again.
"Yes sir." He said, as he reflected on how he thought life on a
starship would be compared to how it was. He open the box
infront of his superiors, pulling out the gold pip. He fastened
it to his collar next to the first. This was a challenge. The
captain saw something in him and was throwing down a gauntlet
for him to pick up. Well challenge except it.
"Thank you sir, I'll do my best, sir." Cormoran said. "With
your permission, I'd like to take over the helm for awhile."

[Bridge-U.S.S. Valor]
John stood at the Security and Tactical console and listened to
the exchange between the CO,XO, and Lieutenant Strike and
remembered when he made Lieutenant and then Lieutenant
Commander, it is a great feeling. He was about to congratulate
the young Lieutenant when a message came in from the Essex.
"Captain, the Essex just informed us to have the Conference Room
ready and yourself and Commander Brown in there when Admiral
Brown arrives." he said looking toward the three men.

The hail was perfectly timed as they had just finished getting
the family ready to go to their child minder who would be
joining them on the Valor as one of Maria's staff. =A=
Acknowledged Admiral, would you like us to meet you in the
transporter room =A= ? B'Ozian asked before he looked again at
his wife and did his best attempt at a human smile before
scooping up James in his arms.
He was looking forward to being back on a starship bridge even
if he had changed and took less risks now he was a husband and a
father, the family had been good for him in many ways and
however unlikely it was that his beautiful wife had fallen in
love with him, it had happened and every time Maria told the
kittens the bedtime story of The Beauty and the Beast he could
not help seeing their faces as the characters.
His one regret was that due to the Strength of Caitian genes it
was unlikely they would ever have a human looking child.

get ready for the party." Josh stood up and looked back at

Maria just tilted her head to the side when he asked about the
last time he'd told her he loved her and thought to herself.
How about practically everytime you look at me. She then grinned
to herself and was about to reply when the hail from Brown came
through, which she also didn't respond to because B'Ozian
responded instead, so rather than respond, she went into the
other room and made they had what they needed, before picking up
the toy bag along withSkye and Brandy and putting them into the
pushchair in the corner of the room. It wasn't often that she
used the pushchair, but it was the only thing other than her
arms that she trusted to transport the babies, even with all the
technology, she still didn't want to risk an error occurring.
It wasn't that she was technophobic or anything like that, she
was just over protective, but truth be told, she knew that the
pushchair could just as easy, if not even easier, be broken.
After quickly fastening in Skye and Brandy, which had became a
skill over the past months, she then went back to the babies
that were on the floor and picked up V'Alencia and then she took
James from B'Ozian and put them in the pushchair, before putting
the reins on T'Cait and V'Alencia, who had just began to walk.
"You hold these two, and I'll push the chair." She stated
quietly and then went back to the pushchair and gave the babies
a couple of toys to play with while they sat there.
Maria could see in the babies faces that they were getting
annoyed at all the moving around and they weren't the only ones.
Maria also couldn't wait to get on the ship. She was looking
forward to being back up in space and not moving around with the
babies. They all needed some stability and hopefully, they
wouldn't be moving off the ship anytime soon.

Jacob walked into his quarters after a long shift in
Engineering. Thankfully the new recruit, Ensign Zyria came
onboard the Valor in the nick of time. He definitely needed
someone who was well trained in the department and could run
Engineering while he was either on the Bridge, on Away Missions
or spending family time with his wife Brooke and daughter Caia
Mae. She was a lifesaver.
Jake walled inti the bedroom seeing Caia Mae and picked her up.
"Hey sweetie. Daddy's home. Where's mommy?"

Brooke had sat there for a good few minutes until she was sure
she wasn't going to be sick again and had managed to stand up
when she heard her husbands voice. She was relieved that he was
back but also glad in a way that he hadn't found her on the
bathroom floor. After making sure she looked a little less pale
walked into the bedroom and smiled at seeing her husband with
their daughter. " Hey babe I'm glad your home saves me taking
Caia Mae to the childminder" she said hoping she sounded like
her normal self.

John nodded to the captain and sent a message back to the Essex.

He then moved from the Security and Tactical console and took
the center chair and awaited the arrival of the Essex. He tapped

Bridge.
