Character Bio:
Azahr Mercy is a 24yo half Gorn and Half Humanoid hybrid. He
stands tall at 6ft 2" with humanoid looks but with the strength
of a Gorn. Azahr's name is Gornish and means "Starry Eyes", this
is due to his eyes being as blue as the star of Cestus III.
Azahr was born on Cestus III, a planet belonging to the
federation somce the 2270's. The planet is a major stop on the
shipping lanes. This provides a perfect trading opportunity for
Azahr's father Graahr Mercy and his own brand of Meridor.
Graahrs name means Strength of Diamonds, this is due to him
being both a strong Gorn and the link to Kirk defeating the Gorn
by using Diamonds as shrapnel. In fact the Mercy family get
their name from the mercy shown to the Gorn by Kirk.
Azahr's mother, Orianna's name means golden due to the colour
and shine of her hair. She served on the USS Foyle as a tactical
officer and managed to reach the rank of lieutenant. She
returned to Cestus III to look after her dying mother. She
became a bodygaurd for Graahr Mercy after her mother died to pay
the bills. During the time spent defending Graahr and the many
nights by his side, one thing led to another and eventually she
married Graahr.
That just leaves Azahr's sister Grace Mercy. She is a beautiful
16yo himanoid looking half Gorn hybrid. She has the strength of
her father but the looks and skills of her mother. She always
dreamed of following in her mother's footsteps as a Tactical
Officer for the federation and had spent her whole life
preparing herself for her 18th birthday so that she could join
the cadets.
Azahr was brought up by his father in the actual making of
Meridor and has always been fascinated by the science of the
production and yhis interest was also fueled by how Kirk used
science to defeat the Gorn.
Azahr was looking to be in good stead to help run and one day
take the reigns of his father's business. However, Azahr lacked
in sales experience. His father, hoping to strengthen this
weakness, arranged for a meeting between Azahr and a travelling
Ferengi Trader.
Everything started off well, Azahr invited the Ferengi to the
house to sample the Meridor. The Ferengi couldn't resist a free
sample and over indulged. Things went bad to worse fast as Grace
walked in the room. The Ferengi seeing Grace's hybrid beauty and
strength and instantly jumped at the chance for profit and
offered to buy Grace so that he could sell her on, probably to
the Klingons.
Obviously this made Azahr very angry but before he could react :
*POW* right in the lobes.
Grace had knocked the Ferengi out cold. Her anger subsided to
shock and deep concern. All her plans for starfleet would be out
the window now, she'd be arrested and her potential career would
be over. Azahr hugged her and tried to comfort her. Azahr knew
how much the federation meant to both his family but more
importantly to Grace.
Azahr took the fall and was arrested so thay his sister could
acheive her career. However, due to his fathers influence he was
quickly released but the damage to Azahrs reputation was done
and everyone around talked about the Ferengi beat down. Orianna
managed to pull a few strings and signed Azahr up to be a cadet
and to earn the respect back and bring honour to his family's
name. This is the story of Azahr Mercy.

cleaner and a pest controller.

This was it. The time had arrived. After all the hard work at
the academy, Azahr had been chosen to serve as a science officer
on the USS Equinox, a nova class starship.
However, despite this great opportunity, Azahr could only think
about his sister on Cestus III. Due to Azahr taking the fall he
was now 8 weeks away from her and his family at max warp. Now he
waited on his orders on DS9, stranded and alone.
There were other cadets but with Azahrs height and strength and
being 6 years older than the other cadets he was viewed as an
outsider.
Azahr would have to prove his worth and make his family proud.
One day he'll return home again, but until that time he can
explore the unknown.
He can boldy go where no half human, half gorn has gome before.
