Turbolift/Bridge
Charlotte was on her way to the Bridge to begin her next duty
shift when she heard the announcement from the XO for all senior
staff to report to the Observation Lounge for a meeting. This
would be her first meeting on board her new ship and to say she
was a little nervous was an understatement and she also wondered
if the XO would treat her any differently because of who she was
involved with but hoped she was just overthinking. By the time
the lift completed its journey she had managed to push all
nerves to the back of her mind and stepped out onto the Bridge.
Observation Lounge
Charlotte quickly made her way towards the Observation Lounge
and when the door opened noticed a familiar face in the form of
John Harriman who she had served with before as she walked in
and acknowledged those present with a polite nod then took a
seat, resting her hands on her lap as she waited for the meeting
to begin.

Well, this is it, thought Azahr Mercy as he left his quarters
and headed towards the turbolift. He tugged at his clothing, he
was still not used to the starfleet uniform, even after all the
academy training.
Azahr entered the turbo lift and asked the computer to be taken
to the bridge. Azahr, being 6ft 2" and half human, half gorn
flexed his muscles nervously. Although he was very good in the
academy as a science officer and aced all the simulations this
was different. No more simulations, this was the real deal.
The turbo lift doors opened and Azahr stepped out onto the
bridge.
"Azahr Mercy, Science Officer reporting for duty."

Observation Lounge
Josh watched as members of his senior staff congratulated the
newly promoted ensign. "If everyone would please take your seats
we'll begin as soon as commander brown arrives."

John looked at the man and nodded then looking at him for a
moment.
"Welcome Aboard Ensign I am Commander Brown, First Officer for
now you can take the Science Station" Finished John as he turned
and followed the Science Officer into the Observation Lounge who
he needed to speak to in regards to her posting

Josh watched as commander Brown and lieutenant Edwards arrived.
"Welcome both of you. I won't keep you. As some of you remember
the federation was under attack, but it was only directed at
alien species. We've been sent here to determine where this
threat came from, any treatments if possible from the virus, and
most importantly stopping it before it spreads like wildfire.
Now can someone give me any possible people in this sector that
would hold a grudge against the Federation and why base around
here. What is the strategic significance here?"

"Yes the Brair Patch is very contested with the So'na and they
hold a grudge after we stopped them in there family swabble also
if anyone can control the Patch it could be made into a staging
point to take Sector 419 as it is very contested" Finished Brown

Commander Brown before focusing her attention on why they were
here and at the mention of the Briar Patch and So'na made her
think about the last mission aboard the Endeavour and what had
happened to the ship. She also wondered if the So'na could be
behind the recent attacks on other alien species but that was
only a speculation until they investigated further.
" I agree with Commander Brown with regards to the So'na, we
also need to be careful when navigating the Patch as we don't
want the Valor to suffer the same fate as the Endeavour, I know
those warning beacons were put in place by Commander Edwards and
her team but its been some time since anyone was in the area".

"Exactly. We know that the So'na suffered a defeat by the
Enterprise and that they helped the dominion. We need to find
out if they are involved without making a blunt accusation to
them. Here's what needs to happen so far. Science needs to
assist tactical in scanning for their cloaked mines, ops needs
to work with engineering while we're here. The patch wrecks
havoc with the engines so we need to navigate through the actual
trail but also need an emergency route if we're cut off. Medical
needs to be on standby to collect samples if an antidote is
found. We have what cause it but not the exact compound."

during the War that the So'na had a way to get faster than light
and the answers could be in the patch" Finished Brown

Josh looked at his first officer. "Yes i heard that too. Perhaps
their engines adapted what ever is in the patch. That could also
prove useful. That will be a secondary mission that science and
engineering will work together on. Does anyone have anything
they'd like to add?"
