S1 M1 - New Beginnings

[Starbase 378 - Temp Quarters]
It had been a long six weeks but the crew was staying together
but with a slight change in command, Commander Shappard had been
restored to Captain and placed in command. John still did not
know the ship name but he knew it would be a Sovereign Class.
John had been packing since he recieved the news of the new
ship.
He stopped packing and decided to take a stroll on the Promanade
hopping to run into someone from the crew for company while
Captain Shappard and Commander Brown were in with Admiral Brown
about their orders.

Josh was standing at attention waiting for the Admiral to speak.
He was given his command back. However it was not going to be
the Atlantis. He was told it was going to be a new ship but no
further information was given.

Edwards Temporary Quarters - Starbase 378
Brooke was stood gently rocking her and Jacob's now six week old
daughter in order to settle her after she had woken suddenly, so
far things had been going well as they both adjusted to being
new parents and motherhood was everything she had imagined it
would be. She was also glad in a way that Caia - Mae had arrived
three weeks early as it meant that they were able to spend more
time together as a family before the inevitable happened and
they returned to duty. They knew that Josh Caia's godfather and
friend had been given his command back and that they were due to
be assigned to a new ship but that was all they had been told at
the moment so wanted to make sure they made the most of their
time left on the station before the family boarded their new
home.

Starbase 378 - Bar
Dan was sitting in the bar, drinking some coffee. When he was at
a starbase, he always liked just sitting there and watching, in
essence, the universe go by. He always chuckled when he would
see say the ferengi try making deals and attempting to buy
profits, there was always something quite funny about it. Dan
had been told that he was being re-assigned to a new ship where
he would be chief engineer once more. He had been told it was a
Soverign Class, but that's about it, at least it was a home from
home, in terms of the mechanics. He took another sip of his
coffee and just continued to observe the daily life of a
Starbase.

KnodwI was sitting in his quarters on the base. He had been
doing a lot of thinking the last few weeks. Not knowing what
he was going to do next. He had a communique from the Klingon
Defense Force wanting him to do a Temporary Duty swap.
This is not the first time that the KDF has set a message to
him. KnodwI was starting to get the Warrior's call to battle.
=^= Lt. Shepard to Capt. Shepard, when you get a chance, could
you come by my quarters on the station.=^=
He awaits his brother to arrive.

Josh heard his brothers message. He quickly tapped his comm
badge due to the Admiral being busy at the moment. =^=
Acknowledged Lieutenant I'll be there when i can. Shepard out.

Brown and raised his eyebrows and let out a sigh of relief then
turned his attention back to the Admiral.

John stood there and glench his fists his face was of pure Anger
a slap of the face was he wasn't offered Command but told to
report as First Officer.
"My Record speaks for myself Admiral!" Finished Brown

Starbase 378 - Dr's Temporary Quarters to Promenade
Time had gone by so quickly after she had been reassigned to
Churchill and given the position of Chief Medical Officer. Now
after being on the Starbase and having the ability to work along
side those with constant experience and exposure to wounded
non-human species Reava was reassigned to another vessel. There
wasn't much known other than it being Sovereign class. So a
nameless starship along with an unknown mission or destination.
After packing she went for a walk, to say a goodbye to the
Starbase that served as her home for six weeks.
It comforted the Betazoid female that attacks hadn't happened
against Starfleet, but was wasn't comforting was that attacks
had been localized to non-human species and were biological in
origin according to the theories. With Starfleet scrambling to
get back into the flow of things and not having a lot of
resources they were very vulnerable to attacks and thankfully
nothing toward Starfleet itself just two species that made up
the whole of Starfleet. Yet perhaps that was the point of the
attacks, to focus attention onto the species all the while
tearing at what was already desperately trying to piece itself
back together.
While wondering about lost in thoughts she almost ran into a
person just barely stopping in time. "Oh, I'm so sorry...."
Looking at the pips on the man's tunic the redhead continued to
speak, "Lieutenant Commander."

Josh saw John standing next to him with his fists clinched.
"Sir the actions i did was both right and wrong. Had i followed
the instructions hundreds of people would've been killed.
Safeguards was implemented and all safety steps taken to avoid
risk to my crew. I was praised for my actions which i don't
look for glory or recognition I'm here to serve the Federation,
and that's exactly what i did."
