Mission 1.2: Etiam multis, non est responsum quaestiones
DIR By: John Anderson
Date: October 31, 2016, 5:26 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Ready Room
John was sat contemplating the ships first mission, the
mysterious appearance and subsequent disappearance of the USS
Washington. What had stricken the crew of the Bovtal, the
Benzite freighter? The injury Commander Brown had sustained on
the freighter, that had left the XO in a coma ever since. On top
of that there was the irregularities surrounding the Churchill's
construction, namely she'd seemingly been fitted with subpar
parts or new parts had somehow aged. There were too many
unanswered questions for the Captain's liking and now they were
on route to the Enoli sector, because yet again there were
questions and no answers to be given.
The Enolian's were the second Federation race to be inflicted,
with what could only be described as a fast acting illness. As
yet its source was unknown, needless to say heads were spinning
and most suspected a biological weapon. If it was then that
would mean more questions, who, why and how mainly. The
Enolian's were a peaceful people, their evolutionary progress
drew on similarities with native American Indians. Anderson had
visited their home planet several years early, it was the sort
of place one could find peace and truly want to stay there.
Anderson's immediate concern was the welfare of the Churchill
and her crew, he'd been reluctant over the two weeks since Brown
was injured to select a new First Officer. The Commanders
recovery was uncertain at that point, thus making John more
unsure as to a course of action. Finally after a lot of
deliberation and thought, the CO made a call.

room.=/\=

Deck 4 - The Edwards Quarters
Easing herself out of bed Brooke crept as quietly as she could
to the Bathroom so as not to wake her husband, their unborn
daughter doing her usual routine of kicking and pressing down on
her bladder but to Brooke every movement however uncomfortable
was a constant reassurance that everything was okay especially
after the scare she had two weeks prior. The trip to Sickbay was
still fresh in her mind after doubling over in agony in the
Captain's ready room had led to the diagnosis of gastroenteritis
caused through stress had been enough to frighten her and was
given strict instructions to take it easy. She also remembered
the worry on her husbands face and had promised to do everything
she could not to get stressed. After finishing in the Bathroom
she walked back to the bed and sat down as much as she would of
liked to stay there she had a follow up appointment in Sickbay
to attend before starting her shift and began to get dressed.

Josh was sitting at the helm, he was monitoring his panel as
the Churchill was traveling at warp 5 to the Enoli sector. Josh
had many thoughts going through his head. With the first
officer in a coma he couldn't help but think how much farther is
this going to continue. Another thought comes to Josh's mind.
For some reason Josh could feel the ship isn't running right,
he couldn't place what the problem was cause he's not an
engineer, but for the most part she was still operational.

Deck 4 - Chief Engineers Quarters
Howell woke up and inched his way out of bed. He headed to the
bathroom to take a sonic shower and once he had done so got
dressed with the exception of his rank pins and main jacket. It
was going to be a long double shift for Dan. Since he had
initially uncovered the somewhat aged components on the
turbolift, he had found a few more. Eating his breakfast, he
felt the ship wasn't right, the engines felt off. So placing his
rank pins and jacket on he left and headed for an early start in
engineering.
Deck 16 - Main Engineering
Dan arrived to a very quiet and dim engineering, it was early
and so most of the shift hadn't arrived yet, nor had the lights
switched to day mode, walking towards his office, he politely
said good morning to any officers he passed. It was only a short
walk from one end of engineering to the other to get to his
office and once he arrived he immediately sat down, logged on
and started inspecting the warp engines by running a level 4
diagnostic.

[Bridge]
John had been running a system wide check of the security and
tactical systems to be sure all was in top working order. Since
the XO was put into a coma he had been working overtime to make
sure if somthing happened the ship would be battle ready. He
hated the fact that the XO had been injured while he was in
another section of the ship, he kicked himself for not bring one
other officer with then. While he was thinking he heard the call
from the CO. He tapped his Combadge and replied.
=/\="Understood Sir on my way."=/\= he said walking to the door
and ringing the chime.

Reava Deito's Quarters
With Commander Brown, the XO of the ship, being in a coma in
sickbay there was a lot on Reava's mind. The mission, the
worrisome illness that seemed to be striking non-human species
which that fact alone had Reava going over all the non-humans on
the Churchill. Her mind troubled her and as such she had her
alarm go off early in order to meditate for she found it to be
relaxing and a good exercise for a Betazoid as it involved
filtering out all thoughts and emotions. All there was to focus
on was slowly breathing and the soft sound of water and other
pleasant sounds that she had the computer play. Sometimes Reava
had her mediation sessions completely silent whereas other times
were filled with sounds that invoked relaxation.
Opening her eyes Reava took a quick shower before getting
dressed and grabbing a hair tie to put into her white coat
later, which was always in Sickbay. Always having loose hair was
becoming cumbersome.
Once dressed in a clean and neatly ironed uniform the ginger
haired female started to make her way to the turbolift and from
there would head to sickbay.
Sickbay
Once inside sickbay she headed over to Commander Brown to check
on his vitals, his BCP, and other essentials. He seemed to be
doing well except for the fact he was in a coma.

Jacob slowly stirred awake after hearing movement from the bed
and stretched his whole body. He looked over and was his wife
sitting on the bed. He smiled and said to her "Morning
beautiful. How are my two favorite girls doing?" He wondered
what the day will unfold for him and the crew of the Churchill.

Counselor's Office
Christopher sat down in his chair after arriving from his
quarters and picked up a PADD which was placed on the table.
Looking at the file he realised that Joshua was formerly the
captain of the Atlantis, Christopher was aware the ship had been
put in quarantine but was still unsurre of where all the crew
had been placed. It seemed all the most senior members of staff
had been placed here, on the Churchill. Christopher wasn't
complaining, after all he got his counselling position back
because of it.
Christopher tapped his combadge after finishing off a small bit
of paperwork and opened a channel to the commander. =^="Willow
to Shepard, commander would you be willing to come and see me in
my pffice?"=^= Christopher asked.

Deck 4 - The Edwards Quarters
Brooke stopped what she was doing as she heard her husband's
voice and smiled at his comment before putting her feet back
onto the bed and turned round to face him. "Morning babe and
we're doing okay, in fact your daughter is being very active "
she replied still smiling knowing how much that would mean to
them both as she reached over and placed one of his hands on her
now quite prominent bump.

Jacob felt Brooke placed his hand on her belly and smiled. He
then said "Hi there Caia. How are you doing? Mommy says you're
being active today." He was anxious to see their daughter in
person. He rubbed her belly waiting for Caia to respond with her
kicks and flips.
