Commander Shepard reporting as ordered sir." Josh said as he
didn't look right at the captain but the bulk head behind him.
Same thing he done when addressing any superior officer until
told to stand at ease.

Brooke was slightly relieved that Josh had spoken for the both
of them as they stood to attention and no doubt the Atlantis
would be mentioned in the briefing with Captain Anderson. When
he told them to take a seat and gestured to the chairs opposite
his desk " Thank you Captain" she said simply and sat down
clasping her hands in front of her.

"Thank you sir." Josh then took his seat and sat straight up in
the chair. He let his hands gal into his lap and waited for the
captain to speak.

John gave a flat smile and separated his hands for second, he
felt a little uneasy with how he imagined the conversation would
follow.
"So...how are you both of you settling in?" He imagined that
might have been the stupidest question of all, but it seemed
like the most logical. "Sorry I know it can't be easy, but it is
as they say as it is."

Josh fought to keep a laugh from coming out. "No sir, it's not
easy. Losing command to save people's lives at the expense of
myself is what most captains do on a daily basis. I understand
the consequences of my actions where i violated a quarantine and
disobeyed a direct order, and as a result i lost my ship and
command. This isn't easy but like all things that deal within
Starfleet we adjust to things every day. Well then that's
exactly what I'll do and i know those that was under my command
will do the exact same thing."

Josh had pretty much said everything and to some degree that was
how she had felt too when it came to losing her position but he
was right adjusting was part and parcel of every day life in the
Fleet. " I agree with Commander Shepard it hasn't been easy and
we will adjust and so far I know myself and my husband are
settling in well and I'm looking forward to serving aboard the
Churchill she's a fine ship ".

Johns right index finger came up to meet his lips, when Josh
mentioned his command and how he would adjust and do what he did
again, should the situation present itself again. Anderson had
read the report and couldn't swear that he wouldn't do likewise
in the same situation. But like anything else, he would have had
to have been there.
"I have to be blunt Commander." He said looking at Josh and then
Brooke. "Lieutenant, this ship has all of its command level
officers already and as such I hope there will not be any
rocking of the boat so to speak." The last thing anyone wanted
was challenging of authority, not that he thought either of them
actually would, but he had to make certain that it went on
record. He also doubted they were both settling in as easy as
they said.

Brooke knew she couldn't speak for Josh but rocking the boat or
interfering with the command level officers already on board was
the furthest thing from her mind when she received her
punishment and her consequent drop in rank to Lieutenant to stay
with her husband. "I understand Captain and there won't be any
of that from me ".

"Sir i understand you already have your command crew and we're
simply fill ins until either the Atlantis is back in action, or
at the very least they ask for my resignation, but i don't see
myself doing that unless they force me. As far as rocking the
boat captain, I've had to do the same thing before so i
understand each captains unique style."

John looked at her for a moment and nodded
"Okay it seems we have no choice to split up but be sure to
stick close and be ready to pull out with no questions asked"
finished Brown sternly and he headed towards the main section of
the Freighter

Benzite Freighter
Maura didn't like the idea of splitting up but both Lieutenant
Dyson and the XO were right they had no choice but to and hoped
that whatever had caused the almost ear splitting noise was just
a simple malfunction of the forward manifolds. Well that was
what she kept telling herself as she followed Commander Brown to
the main section of the Freighter.
