Turbo lift
Now that she had quickly showered and changed Maura felt
refreshed and ready to report in, she knew that there probably
wasn't a lot for her to do with the ship docked but hoped she
would at least be given something to focus on. She remained deep
in thought as the lift travelled upwards to her destination the
nerves still present underneath her practised persona of being
the cheery, always the life and soul of the group but in reality
when she was on her own it was quite the opposite. She remained
that way as she went up deck by deck finally reaching the Bridge
and took a deep breath as the lift stopped.
Bridge
The doors opened and Maura walked out taking her first look at
the Bridge, it seemed bigger than she had first thought and also
a little intimidating but she was the newbie and it would take
time for her to get used to it. Spotting the officer in the
centre chair she walked almost on impulse towards the command
area and came to attention " Ensign Maura Stewart, reporting for
duty " She stated standing straight not daring to move a muscle.

John peered from his PADD seeing the Officer standing there
putting it on his lap he eyed the Officer with narrowed eyes.
"Ensign, you have seem to forgotten yourself or you lack proper
education whatever it is will be fixed when you address a Senior
Officer you say Sir or Lieutennent" Finished Brown taking a
breath as he looked at the time it took the Ensign to arrive on
the Bridge then looking back at her.
"Care to explain why it took this long to report to the Bridge"
John finished as he stood up and looked at the young officer

Maura felt herself go red with embarrassment at her slip up and
just when she thought her day couldn't get any worse this had
happened and part of her wanted to crawl up in a ball and hide.
"I apologise Lieutenant it won't happen again " Maura replied
regaining her composure. When he then asked why it had taken her
so long to get here she had assumed dropping her belongings off
would be the easiest thing to do but realised she had no doubt
made another mistake by having a shower and change of uniform. "
I stopped by my quarters to drop off my belongings, then had a
quick shower and change of uniform so I would be ready for my
first shift " she explained with a sinking feeling in her
stomach that she had messed up big time.

John raised his eyebrow then putting his hands behind his back
he looked at her.
"I don't want apologies I want actions the Captain wo'nt expect
anything less" Finished John as he turned to face the Command
Chair "It seems that you have forgotten yourself when you board
a Ship for duty assignment you report in first then you take
care of your personal needs; it seems Ensign you think
regulations are a joke do you like wasting time? Sternly
finished Brown

Maura just wanted the ground to open up and swallow her at this
point, she hadn't expected such harshness and this was
definitely turning out to be one of the worst days of her life.
She hadn't meant to mess up and admitted her mistake so now she
had to learn from it and prove exactly what she was made of. "
Yes Lieutenant and no I don't " she replied her voice trying not
to break.

"There might be a chance for you so in order for you to learn
you are to report to the Shuttle Bay and Manuelly reset the Bio
filters of all Shuttle crafts you have until the Captian returns
from his briefing; Dismissed" Finished Brown

"Yes Lieutenant" Maura replied turning round now that she had
been dismissed and walked quickly to the turbo lift not sure how
to feel after her encounter with the seemingly hard tasking
Lieutenant. It was only when the lift doors closed behind her
that she sat down against the rail and put her head in her hands
wondering what she had done to deserve a day like today, it had
been one disaster after another but she refused to let it get to
her anymore and by the time the lift stopped at the Shuttle bay
, she was ready to get on with it.
Shuttlebay
Maura entered the cavernous bay and looked around again she felt
a sense of intimidation but not as bad as she had on the Bridge.
Walking over to the first of what appeared to be quite a few
shuttlecraft, she opened the hatch and went inside. Remembering
the times when she had done this type of thing before on her old
assignment she accessed the panel and got to work.

Bridge
Kira had spent a few minutes making her way towards the
Churchill and finally found herself arriving onto ship. It was a
quick transit from the entrance to the bridge and she suddenly
found herself on the bridge of a ship again, in familiar
territory. Kira walked further into the bridge and looked at the
command chair, a lieutenant she had never came across was sat in
the chair.
Kira smiled at the lieutenant. "Report lieutenant, if you
would." She asked, continuing after a moment. "I'm Commander
Wyman, the new ship XO, it's a pleasure to meet you." She
finished, offering a hand to the man in the chair.

John stood up and offered his hand he didn't help but notice the
younger Commander making him feel old.
"Lieutennent John Brown; Cheif Tatical Officer; Pleasure is mine
the Churchill operating at 100% only issue is with a new Ensign
who is not aware of Starfleet Regulations which I have informed
her as such I will be filing a report to you and the Captian on
the matter" Finished Brown

Bridge
John entered the bridge of his fine vessel and came to stand
beside the command chair.
Looking towards the viewer, the Captain gave his orders.
"Ok people, it's time to make some history." Anderson said
moving forward and stood between the ops and helm seats. "Helm
clear our departure with stations and bring thrusters to station
keeping."
