       Early life
       Maura grew up in rural Yorkshire in a small market town called
       Bedale with her older brother Callum and their parents William
       and Melody. Both worked hard running a general dealers shop that
       stocked everything and anything you could possibly want and
       Maura used to find this fascinating when she was younger.
       However as she got older her need for adventure became apparent
       and she would often sneak off with her friends to watch the
       pilots at the local airfield which she found fascinating and as
       soon as she was old enough learnt how to fly. Once she had
       conquered this particular dream she started looking for the next
       adventure and this appeared in the form of her dream job as a
       pilot on the freighter Dark Phoenix, despite her brother trying
       to persuade her to join Starfleet where he was a Science Officer
       aboard the USS Charlestown. However once the war broke out Maura
       was approached by Starfleet when she helped ferry civilians to
       one of the safe zones and agreed after a lengthy discussion to
       join the Academy.
       Career
       Rank Promotion:
       Promoted to Ensign in 2374 after  successfully completing her
       Academy training.
       Assignments:
       2374 - Assigned to Starbase 23 where she worked as shuttle pilot
       ferrying goods and passengers from the neighbouring star system.
       2375 - reassigned as a flight control officer aboard the USS
       Churchill.
       Hobbies:
       Reading and socialising with friends
