Dossi Phillips of the 12th house of Betazed- Mother (deceased)
Kevin Phillips - Step-Father
Character Bio: Tosid was one who needed to be counseled and
trained to avoid insanity but had been genetically bonded to
Dossi and not long after they were married Dossi became pregnant
with Reava. When Reava was five years old Tosid, despite all his
training and counseling, committed suicide to avoid the pains of
insanity.
During her adolescence Reava began to develop her telepathic
abilities and it was during this time that her mother met a
human male named Kevin Phillips and after marrying him she took
Reava and relocated to Earth. Due to her time on Earth Reava
learned how to curb her native culture's honesty only being
silent when such honesty would be thought of as rude. It was
also during her time spent on Earth that Reava became interested
in Star Fleet and as soon as she could she joined.
Just before the Dominion war began Dossi returned to Betazed
only to be killed. The news hit Reava hard and still affects her
to this day.

Sample Post: Taking a deep breath in through her nose and slowly
letting it back out Reava began her meditation process which was
an absolute must for all Betazoids. The calming affect it had
helped her especially since losing her mother during the
Dominion War and though it had been three months since it had
ended and despite the beliefs she had in the gods and spirits
Reava still missed her mother.
After her meditation session ended Reava got dressed and pulled
her hair back into a ponytail. Stepping out of her quarters and
into the hallway she made her way into the hallway heading for
the nearest turbo lift. With her mind at ease she would be able
to complete her duties within expectations. For a moment her
hand drifted to the phaser located in a holster on her right
side, for she was right-handed, as if to be certain that she
hadn't forgotten to place it back into its holster. Not that
Reava had a reason to ensure that she was armed for she never
forgot and her meditation helped with her memory and focusing on
her job, still it was nice to feel the weapon being so close to
her. Despite the Federation being on the mend trying to get back
to how things were there was always the threat of peace being
torn as it was for the residents of Betazed.

Hey Reava Deito,
After reading your application, we would love to accept you into
the fleet as a Ensign on the USS Atlantis!
As seen in our help files, you can see that all of our new
members start at either rank Cadet I or Crewman depending on
whether you picked the enlisted route or not. Both courses are
as rewarding as each other but also challenging at the same
time. This will allow us to test your knowledge through them but
also your writing skills too, both of which are important to
have.
